I would love it if one of the teachers here on the board

could recommend some sort of practice program on essay writing for my 4th grader. Her teacher is concerned about her organizational skills during next years social studies assessment.

just wanted to say, if you dont get responses here, there are MANY teacher websites, where teachers can give you advice.

I'll find some and post them for you

Mo, On Monday nights I teach a class for other teachers and there are some Elementary teachers in there if you can wait until then I will be more than happy to ask them for you.

there is a method called 4-square writing that i use with my 5th graders (actually, the whole school uses it). it is GREAT for the 5th grade DBQ essay. i dont have the book, but if you wanted to try it with your daughter, here is a link to the book that describes it in detail:
