Yankee Fans: I know I'm asking for it but I can't help myself
I went out this weekend and bought myself A NEW BROOM!!!
3 in a row losing to the Sox in the Bronx -- for shame
And I know you're going to say the Mets got swept too, but the difference is we're not expected to win -- so anything good that happens to the Mets is a nice perk.
Saturday night, I went out and had a nice bowl of New England Clam Chowder to celebrate and Boston Creme Pie for dessert
OK, kill me now

I'll admit- as a die hard yankee fan my heads hangin' for shame... yankees SUCK this season.. but you can't be a fair weather fan- you have to love 'em when they win and love 'em when they lose..
something I've learned from my fellow mets fans- considering their record- I guess you guys always love 'em when they lose...

touche
as in my book, the mets will always be #1, but this year, as I look at teams that are actual contenders, I am fully rooting for and supporting the Sox!!! Way to go!

I love my Yankees- but I am actually pullin' for the Cubs this year. DH is a HUGE Cubbies fan- he was so mad last year he punched the ironing board when they lost! It was so funny... I think he also threw his glasses across the room and smashed them into bits during that series as well he's unbelievable... they deserve it....
but i never, EVER want the sox to win.

Well said ..
I love my Yankees ... it doesn't matter if they win or lose you gotta take the good with the bad. But I wholeheartedly admit that they were an embarrassment this past weekend. Shameful!! Jeter is a mess.
I'm beginning to take classes from FH (the Mets fan) on how to cope with losing so often ..
THough at least in my FH's case, he wouldn't stoop so low as to root for Boston .. that's about the ONLY team in the American League that he hates MORE than the Yankees ..

I only know what going on becasue my DHis a big baseball fan, but if someone paid me as much money as they paid A Rod for switching to NY team, I am pretty sure i would have hit a few balls! What was it exactly, $120 mills?

Re: Yankee Fans: I know I'm asking for it but I can't help myself
This is all my DH's fault! He is an AS$! He is a Yankee fan but for some reason has been yelling for the past week reverse the curse, the only day he didn't do this the yankees won. I said to him what kind of Yankee fan are you? He said he wants the sox to win now so that the Boston fans think that they have a chance this year and then his Yankees will come back strong. I told him to get over it and stop jinxing them-- DH no longer stands for Dear Husband in my book.
