Bank account & apartment ownership question
I plan to keep a separate account. I also own 100% my apartment, I do not plan to change my ownership documents. Does anyone know if I have to change my name on these documents.

You may have to for tax reasons if you are changing it at SS, and your banks etc.

I don't think so. My husband and I bought our co-op before we were married and so my maiden name is on our deed. My lawyer said at the time that it was fine, but that if I wanted to change it to contact her. I haven't seen a need to change it yet.
