Renaissance or Radisson in Aruba???...so confused!!!!

We've narrowed it down and have to make a decision this week, but the two are very different and I can't decide which aspects are more important. Opinions and recommendations please!!!!!

There are SO many threads on LIW on Aruba and all the hotels - you should do a search. But from my research, and from what I was told, the Radisson and Hyatt are the two best hotels.

Re: Renaissance or Radisson in Aruba???...so confused!!!!

We stayed at the Renaissance, when we went there on vacation. We had a great time. The hotel has its own casino we stayed at the tower that was directly across from where the ships dock. ( It is pretty at night with all the lights) it was right next to a McD's. It is to be expected because the hotel is in the city. We went to this club called Charlies? I think it was and it was FFFUUUUNNN. We went on some 1 day getaways to diff parts of the island. I went to the spa in the hotel. The last night we were there we went to the casino and we won back 3/4 of our spending money.
ETA: The hotel has its own PRIVATE beach. They have a smaller boat that comes RIGHT into the hotel and picks you up. It takes you under a underpass then out into the ocean. It is really nice good luck

Re: Renaissance or Radisson in Aruba???...so confused!!!!

We stayed at the Renaissance last December. I'd give it a 7 on a scale of 1-10. The rooms were okay. The pools at the beach tower are MUCH better than the tiny pool at the Marina tower. It's located right in the town of Orangestaad, which was nice. We were walking distance to lots of great restaurants.

My sister stayed at the Radisson on her honeymoon 2 years ago...and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. She said it's beautiful. It was just renovated two years ago. Located in the HiRise area...also close to tons of great restaurants.

You really can't lose...because the transportation system in Aruba is cheap and safe. Our favorite restaurant was Chez Mathilda in Orangestaad and Madame Jeannettes (not sure on spelling). But there are so many good restaurants to choose from...you really can't go wrong. If you have any other questions...FM and I'd be happy to help!
