For anyone thinking of using table names...

I was going to use table names also, using the names of poets and putting a poem on that table by that poet/or use different flower names, but...

I went to a wedding this past weekend where they named the tables after romantic sayings or words, and let me tell you, I though it was a mess! 200 guests searching around the room looking the 'Honey' table, just wandering aimlessly and shouting across the room to the other half of their 'SEARCH PARTY' who they broke off from! It was kind of funny, but I think it took WAY too much time for the guests to get seated & find their tables.

I am now going to use table numbers, make my own table cards & just put a quote on the card.

My advice is if you are having a lot of tables to have the tables named but ALSO list numbers some way, perhaps in the corner of the placecard & table card.

Maybe it would work better if their was a map showing the layout of the tables . . . OR #the tables and name them. Seems like too much trouble huh????
