Crystals? Rhinestones? Swarovski? Question about Tiaras.
I read in another post that rhinestones come out looking black in pictures? Is this true?
I understand that Swarovski (sp?) stones are more expensive than rhinestones and crystals, but how can you tell the difference(besides the tag saying so)?
I've seen these Sw. tiaras on ebay for $50, but is it too good to be true?
I'm confused - can someone break it down to me before I purchase my tiara? I don't need it to sparkle 40 years from now, but I would love to be an "informed" shopper.
THANKS!!!!!!

Re: Crystals? Rhinestones? Swarovski? Question about Tiaras.
Swarovski is a brand of crystals and rhinestones that is supposed to be very high quality.
Rhinestones are crystals that have a coating on the back so you can't see all the way through them.
I think what people mean when they say rhinestones look black in photos is when they are on your veil - if seen from the wrong angle, they can look like little spots. I have not heard of any problems with the rhinestones on tiaras.
I got my tiara on e-bay from PrincessBrideTiaras and I think it's beautiful and very high quality, and I did not spend a fortune. It is jewelry-grade and not costume.
