we had our jeweler put a piece of my fiance's great grandmother's engagement ring (which he used to propose with) into the inside of our wedding bands with just a tiny dot visible on the inside. we thought that meant more to us than any words could express.

I have never heard of putting your SS # on either, maybe so you can track it back to you if it gets lost???!!!

'Put it back on' is hysterical!

My ring is very narrow (2.5mm) and a size 4, so I don't have much room. I would rather not just do our initials and our wedding date. I like the idea of using a line from your wedding song...but we still haven't picked a song!!

We have 'always' engraved on the indside of the bands. No names or dates, just 'always'.
