I hope u guys can help!!! Plus size evening wear!!!

Does anyone know of a store that specializes in plus size evening wear? I mean size 24 and above. It's for my FMIL and I am running out of time. Please help!!!

Hi- my mil is a plus size too and we went to a lot of places w/ little sucess.
check out r&k bridal in the city. I went there yesterday and am going to take my mil there for her dress.
She is a size 18-20 and they had her size w/ good prices.
R & K 212-947-1155 318 w. 39th St. bet. 8th & 9th Ave.
call them and make sure they have her size, but there are samples for them to try on

I believe they are in Merrick. My mom just purchased a dress from Moonlight Couture, she is also plus size...

Lord & Taylors has a nice selection of formal wear in plus sizes.

My FMIL is a plus size and she got her dress from Queen of Hearts in Merrick.

I'm a plus size (grrr) and I got my gown at JC Pennys. AND they had 30% off.
They had a real nice selection.

JC Penney, Macy's, Sears, they all have plus size evening wear. One great place to try is Catherine's. I have 4 people in my family (including MOB) that got beautiful dresses there for a huge discount. I know there is one on Old Country Road across from Roosevelt Field, I don't know where else. Good luck!!

Alixgirl-
I got out of going to work tomorrow and am taking my mil to R&K- I will let you know what I find.
We wemt to:
Lord & Taylor in Walt Whitman- nothing
Bloomies in Walt Whitman - ' '
Estelles dressy dresses - very little in her size
Oh so Dressy- not much
Macys- a little pricey for her

I stopped in R&K for a minute and they seemed to have a lot of samples in her size.
I will report back

How about Estelle's.....they have a bridal section with lots of MOB/BM dresses ..they do carry plus sizes

Thanks Nov.Bride. I have been to Macys, Lord and Taylor, the wedding plaza in Baldwin, Lilletes, Bridal Reflections, Davids Bridal. I'm sure I have left out a few. My FMIL is over a size 24 so alot of the designer labels have stopped making that size according to Macys.
