We booked a Second Florist...Flower Barn

Yesterday Danielle and I went to Flower Barn in Seaford. We met with Michael, who is really nice. This Florist was recommended by our banquet manager at the huntington townhouse. He is their house florist.

He gave us such an amazing deal, and we are getting the most amazing flowers. We have a very large bridal party, and we are also getting high centerpieces for the tables.

I highly recommend going to him and finding out what he can do for your wedding. Our wedding is also in 3 months, and he has no problem with doing it.

It is funny, but we told him why we didnt want to deal with our other florist that we originally booked, and he told us that he had a girl call him yesterday that booked the other place and tell him that she wanted him to do her wedding because she is also have problems with that florist. She is getting married in two weeks. He said no problem I will do it for you.

Our first florist has a $300 deposit that we left in October when we booked them. We went there last night but the owner had left already for the night. The wedding planner that we spoke to said she would talk to the owner today and call me back during the day to tell me how much of the $300 we were going to get back. She said that she thinks there may be a $25 to $40 service charge. That is fine with me, as long as we get most of it back. The new florist said that he has dealt with the florist before and he said that he didnt think we would get anoy of our money back, or that he may just give us a credit.

good for you.I don't know what problems you wer ehaving, but I'm glad you found somone to accomodate you.

A credit might not be that bad. You'll just have to spoil your mom's for the next few years.
Again, I don't knwo what your problems were, but maybe they just weren't suitable for a wedding, but wil be ok for regular stuff.

Glad you found someone!! If they give you credit, you could either have them make pieces for where your ceremony is or you could have them go to Danielle's house to decorate the outside for pics and such!! Good Luck!!!

WE got most of our deposit back from the first florist. There was only a $25 fee for holding the date. We're both relieved.
