Re: winter brides...also milleridge brides
No, in the minimum doesn't change in the off season, at least not that drastically.I asked about indoor pictures & they said we can take pictures inside the carriage house at 6:30 (CH at 7) That's fine by me, since I don't want a lot of posed pictures. I guess they would take them by the fireplace.
Krsity also suggested that if we are staying in a hotel , we check there for a palce to take pictures & also suggested EAB plaza.
I don't have too much time between church & reception, so I am going I think to just take pictures there & they'll have to be inside if its raining I guess.

Re: winter brides...also milleridge brides
This has been a continual source of stress for me!!! We're getting married at the hall so we're doing them all before and we have to be done a half hour before the ceremony stars so arriving guests won't see us. WE went to check out Westbury Gardens, the Vanderbuilt, and those indoor Mansions and are very unhappy about the decor in the winter. Garden City hotel won't let us and any other paying event overrides us at the Huntington Hilton and they won't make people get out of the way for our pics. EAB is out because its really humid and can be a nightmare if you have other brides at the same time cause you have to compete for space. If there is an afternoon event at the hall, we only have a half hour there. The one place that is open and free is the Holstville Ecology Center. But I'm not big on their winter decorations and they are waaaayyyy out of the way and would cause more trouble than it's worth to try to get everyone there an back to Lindenhurst. I have no clue what to do.

For a hundred person guarantee, possibly try the George Washington Manor. It is owned by the same people, and the decor has the same feeling.

I was a winter Carriage House bride. We did some pictures at EAB plaza and had no problems whatsoever and go some really beautiful prictures by the tree and all the decorations/waterfall. We also took some family pics in the Carriage House by the back bay window and they also came out very nice.

Ddunne23- For EAB, do you have to reserve/pay in advance? I am considering this as a back up, since its not too far, but I have heard it may be decorated for halloween in Oct.

As long as it isn't blizzardy...I intend to suck it up and take some pictures outside! The Fox Hollow has a photo studio inside for most but I am going to grin and bare it (and hope my BP will too!)...pics in the snow will be beautiful anyway!!Welcome New Vendors
