Re: Are you matching your invitations to your color theme?
My invites don't resemble my fall theme or my colors. They are simple, elegant and classic.I don't have a picture but they are on ivory background, with taupe writing with pearlescent border.
I think a leaves themed invite would be too informal for villa..JMO

Re: Are you matching your invitations to your color theme?
I think I will match. Right now, I'm trying to incorporate Tiffany's blue with pink but keep it from looking like a baby shower. So, I might send out Tiffany's colored invites, have Tiffany bages and colored boxes on the table, and BM's dresses will be the same color. Everything else will be pink, pink, pink!

I didn't match. My color scheme was blue, but my invitations were just an ecru card engraved in black.

Re: Are you matching your invitations to your color theme?
I'm going to consider it, but the options for colored invites aren't that great, so I just might end up sticking with something simple with no color. since my color scheme is a aqua/sky blue and hot pink.

My invitation is hearts and the writing is in navy and the inner envelope is lined in ivory and I have mostly everything gold for the reception.

Re: Are you matching your invitations to your color theme?
I am using a white invitation with black writing and black lining inside the envelopes. My colors are fall colors so they don't really match. I don't think it matters. JMO.

Re: Are you matching your invitations to your color theme?
I went with an ecru invitation, because I wanted it to be tradational, but it has a faded taupe leaf pattern that goes with my fall theme, so I chose the ink to be taupe to match the invitation. It sort of goes with everything else, but
I wouldn't have gotten cranberry ink, or envelope lining to match the BM dresses, b/c it would take away from the formality of it , and I am not have tons of cranberry everywhere, so it might not make sense.

I totally know what you mean. My venue is less formal, but I am trying to keep things a little on the tradional/foraml side. A lot of the leaf invitations, were too casual- here is what I picked. It is very subtle in person, almost tone on tone, and on a hevy, soft ( not shiny) cardstock.
