Nope, never heard of it, got me curious though.
Eta: I don't think it has anything to do with hair though, probably how the grean tea creates a wave inside your body or something like that? !

L-theanine in green tea helps promote calm, focused energy. Japanese research shows l-theanine can cross the blood-brain barrier and stimulate production of alpha waves, known to promote relaxation. This produces a similar effect as taking a hot bath or getting a massage, but without the drowsiness.
Another article: Research on human volunteers has demonstrated that L-theanine creates a sense of relaxation in approximately 30-40 minutes after ingestion via at least two different mechanisms. First, this amino acid directly stimulates the production of alpha brain waves, creating a state of deep relaxation and mental alertness similar to what is achieved through meditation.
