WEDDING IN OCTOBER--WHEN DO I SEND INVITES??

I still have not picked out any...I am having a hard time loving any....


ANd, when I do order, how long does it take to come in??

I picked mine out on sunday and i am ordering tomorrow!

I want to send mine out first or second week in July

I was told it takes about 2-3 weeks to come in

I am thinking of looking at invitations next week and hope to order them in the next week or two.

we got our proofs and checked them which took a couple of days, and then we orderd them and the invites came in a week. i was very suprised...i haven't picked them up yet...we will most likely send them out around august 16th for our october 23rd wedding.

I;m getting married the end of November, I already got my invites. It was hard for us to pick one so I figured since we did I didn't want them discontinued or anything. I;m sending mine out in the middle of Sep.

It depends when you want your RSVP to when you send them out..

How do we decide when we want the RSVP date?? DO we have to find out when the hall needs the count or somethign? I am sooo clueless!

Sometimes it says in your contract, but probably anywhere from 1-4 weeks before.

I made my rsvp date 6 or 7 weeks before my wedding. I want to have plently of time reserved for late responses, making place cards and we may wait to order our favors, depending on what we decide to give. I don;t want to have a bunch of favors left over.

Also doing seating..I'm not sure how long that will take, but I;m sure it will take some thought!

mine will be 1-2 week in aug!...I have a lot of OOT'ers who i don't think will be coming, so we have a B-list..

That's what I did.
Wedding October 9
RSVP September 4
plan to send last weekof July ( the 26th30th)so that they will arrive around 8/4.

I orderd them about two weeks ago. They came in 9 days.( this tuesday! yay!)
I know that was alittle early, but I foudn oens I liked, so why not?

I am going to send them to the calligrapher by the end of June, to allow 2 week to get them back & 2 weeks to assemble them.

i'm sending mine out in july...maybe mid july. my rsvp date will be august 21st...that is lots of time, but i don't care! :)

We sent ours out in the beginning of July w/ our wedding on 10/3 & our rsvp date 9/3. We had a lot of OOT, so we wanted them to have ample time.

For October 1st - I already have my invites (got them in last month)...all I know I had my RSVP date Aug 18 (dad's birthday)...i forgot when I planned on sending them out, I have to Call Laura (LAProductions) to remind me (can't remember everything, can I?)....

Holly we are a week apart, and I'm sending mine the first week of September. I think about 6-8 weeks is good, with more than 8 weeks a little too far away.

If you order your invites by late June you should be ok.

Your rsvp date is August 18 for your 10/1 wedding?

Is that the usual amount of time? If so, I am in trouble (I wrote 2 weeks before I need the final count for the caterer - or 3 weeks before the wedding).

Holy mackeral - reading everyone's responses I see I am really out of the oridinary. Then again, I'm not having assigned seating, so I guess that makes a difference.

but alot of them are overseas so i wanted extra time

I am going to send them out last week of June, first week of July. I made the RSVP date Aug 23.

September is a really busy month for me at work, so I want hat last week of August to deal with people who didn't respond.

You should mail them two months before your date. That being said, start to look for them now - some places take longer than others to get them in and you don't want to not be able to get one you like.

Hey there another 10/17 bride! I have looked at a lot but have yet to find the one! Hopefully I will decide by early June and place the order then... Good Luck
