Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

How are you wording your invites? Are you having a reception folder too?

Re: Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

I just put 'Reception immediately following' under the Carlyle info.

Re: Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

I'm just going to put:

'reception immediately following'

at the bottom.

I've been to many weddings where the ceremony and reception are at the same place. They have all used the above saying.

Doing the same!
No need to spend money on a reception card then.

Re: Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

That is exactly what I was thinking!

Thanks!

Also, did you put the time that your ceremony is actually starting or a half hour before so that everyone gets there in time?

I didn't write any of that... Mine just said,
Half past Six O'clock in the Evening
Bourne Mansion

Ceremony really starts at 7 though

Re: Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

We put 'reception to follow' on the bottom

I also fibbed about the start time, i put it a 1/2 hour earlier since it is a morning/afternoon wedding. Hope villa doesn't get ticked..

Re: Invite question...if you are getting married at your reception hall

I also put 7pm as the invite time when the ceremony didn't start until 7.30
I wasn't worried b/c Carlyle served champagne and cookies while people were waiting.
