August Brides-Honeymoon location?

We're having the hardest time figuring out where to go for our honeymoon. The caribbean is always an option, but doesn't the hurricane season start in August????

Any suggestions?

Hurrican season starts in April and ends in (I think) October.

The ABC Islands are outside the hurrican belt - Aruba, Borneo and Curacao - as is St Vincent and the Grenadine's.

We are thinking Aruba.....I am pretty sure they are not affected by hurricane season.

We are taking a chance and going on a cruise to the western Caribbean. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Us too!! Our travel agent said that the ship can always sail away from the storm?!?! Lets just pray for nice weather!!

ladyluv: Where are you going? What line? We are taking Royal Carribean and leaving out of NYC. Wouldn't that be funny if we were on the same ship!

We've been to Aruba...so we'd like to try some place else.

I'm actually looking into taking a Celebrity cruise out of NYC to Bermuda.

I am having an October wedding.. was worred about hurricane season too. We are going to Maui and Kauai.......Can't wait!!

I'm in Sept, but we are doing a week in Nevis and then a week to south caribbean and chancing it as well!

we are also taking a chance we are going on a cruise for seven days. We are leaving from San Juan. We will visit Barbados, St Lucia, St. Thomas, St Marteen, Antigua. I am saying my prayers as well.They however divert if necessary.

We are going to Cabo San Lucas on the western side of Mexico.

I cannot commit to anything, I'm torn between Costa Rica, Belize (rain both places) the Dominican Republic (too much stuff going on there right now) or Aruba (too small of an island

Been to Hawaii, Thailand, Rio, Paris, UK, Jamaica, PR, St Thomas, St. Maarteen, Barbados, etc

We are going on a Mediterranean cruise for our honey moon. We said we would do Hawaii for our one year anniversary.

We are going to Tahiti-Moorea, Bora Bora, you could always go to Europe, try southern spain - it is wonderful and warm there in August!! If you've already been to Aruba then that doesn't leave you with many other options in the Caribbean. What about Western mexico?

JESS did Mexico already, Spain sounds good, I'm really apprehensive about going overseas and in Aug the Republican Convention is taking place in NY right around the time of our wedding, so security at the airports for all flights into and out of NY is going to be over the top!

we're doing the aruba thing, staying at the hyatt...yeah! we thought about mexico and even key west, but even if a hurricane doesn't come, we still could have rain every day. so we are hoping to play it safe with aruba.

We are going to New Zealand, we used Maria's Travel Destinations in East Meadow. She was very informative and helpful.
