If you had an Ivory/Off White Dress, what color tux shirt did your DH wear?

Just curious...my dress is pearl...I think my FH is wearing a white shirt. The Ivory didnt look so good on him. Will it matter toomuch?

My dress is ivory as well. FH was considering looking at the ivory dress shirt but I think he'll get the white in the end. He's concerned that the ivory won't look right - we'll have to wait and see. But I think that the white tux shirt will look fine - perfect actually so there is nothing to worry about.

FI got ivory/off white because the white looked too stark against my off white dress and I thought it would accentuate that my dress isn't true white.

Edited to add we brought a swatch of my dress with us. Can you do that?

I don't have a swatch! Can you believe that? I never thought to even ask...I already have my dress altered and it's at home hanging from the ceiling of the closet. OOPS!

my dress was ivory/ diamond white, Dh wore a white shirt and it was fine!!! ther eare several shades of ivory, some more on the white side and some more on the yellowy sidee

My FH is wearing ivory...and so are all of the groomsmen. I almost made my dad wear ivory too... I don't want any white near me at my wedding at all.

I've heard mixed reviews on the 'yellow' factor. Some tux places put all guys in a light ivory because it's better with most people's skin tones. Other people have said that you didn't even notice the difference from a stark white shirt to an ivory gown. I'll give FH a swatch from my dress, but he can do whatever he wants.

Yeah I would go and see the ivory if you decide to go with it. FI's is very light - I honestly thought it was the white until they showed me white. Each place probably has different shades.

My dress is diamond white (closer to white) and FH is getting a white shirt. The ivory was too yellow.

DH insisted on white for himself and the grooms. (My dress wasn't white or ivory, but light blush in color.) He felt the ivory had the appearance of being dirty.

ive seen pics and it can make your ivory dress just look dirty if he wears white. i think ivory is safer.

actually the people in kleinfelds and the tux store were both pretty adamant that he have ivory too.

I agree with your FH....plus white has a crisp look to it.
