Re: December Brides
I'm a December bride. 12/12/04.
Haven't done TOO much. Got the hall and the DJ. Hoping that my fiances grandmothers dress fits. It's being fedex'd from VA. Looking forward to that!

Re: December Brides
I haven't done very much, either. I do have the hall and the dress. Next week, we will decide on the band. Then, I'm on to the next thing. Right now, I'm trying to do one thing at a time.

Re: December Brides
Things are coming along. Dropped off my payment to the Riviera memorial day weekend.Still to do:
Flowers (in the process of getting quotes)
Limos (Just started researching)
Book Honeymoon (St. Lucia)
Order invites (Already picked out)
Book Limos
And assorted other small stuff.
Trying to get a lot off my list by the end of June so we can enjoy the summer and go to the beach on the weekends instead of meeting vendors/wedding planning.

Re: December Brides
Patti I dropped you a FM.You might want to look into ALL Star Limo. They are a great company as well for Limo's. I see you didn't book yet.
Wow, I see that you are going to St Lucia. How funny, because orginally we were going to book there. But instead, we went with Bahama's! LOL
Good to hear things are coming along.

Re: December Brides
Got my dress!!! No, my fiances' g.m. dress looked horrible! Got a GREAT deal at Bridal Suite in Patchogue! Also booked the photographers and videographers. CRIED like a baby when I watched a DVD they showed us! Also, I chose to have silk flowers instead of real and my neighbor (god bless her!) offered to make mine and my girls bouquets. GUESS how much it cost me?! $51.00 and change! She just finished it last night and let me tell you, I was SPEECHLESS! (which is hard for me!)Saved myself a bundle.

Re: December Brides
How's all the Dec girls doing? 5 months!!! My oh my how time is flying.Got flowers done, ordering invites next week 'Tis the Season' by Carlson. Craft with pearlized snowflakes around the border. Booking limos in the next few weeks. Ordering favors soon too.
That covers the major planning and it's little things from here on in.
How's everyone else doing?
Oh and I've notices a funny difference in people, some say 'how exciting, it's coming up' others say 'wow, time is really closing in on you' I guess it's equal to the 'it's half empty/it's half full' theory.

Re: December Brides
Yup, less than 5 months to go! I started a count down on my calendar. Anyone else do that??? Haven't done the day count down yet, just the months. (the day count is in November). Everything is done as I've previously said, EXCEPT, still haven't found anyone to marry us yet. So it's lookin' like a REALLY expensive party. Not worrying. (yet) Bought my girls their gifts. Not getting excited yet. Have other things that need to end before starting to really think about it. One more week. Maybe it's also because I got everything done so quick. Well, hope everyone else is enjoying their planning. Keep me updated!!! HAVE FUN DECEMBER BRIDES!!!!!

Re: December Brides
Things are coming together for me, though I'm starting to realize all the little things that I have left to do, which is starting to stress me out a little bit.I'm so happy though both my dress and my BM dresses came in last week and I got my invitations a few weeks ago. Now I'm working on the florist and the hair and makeup person!
December will be here before we know it!! Yeah!!

Re: December Brides
Hey fellow Dec Brides
Well, just wanted to check in. I have everything booked, just the small details to work out come Nov- such as picking out the menu, linens for the reception & centerpieces. Speaking to the bakery in regards to the cake we want and filling. Seeing the DJ to finalize the music schedule. Doing Pre-cana- 1st night coming up on Sunday 8/21 at 7pm. Going to the florist to choose the color & type of Bo-k I want. So many little things, ya know!?!
I have my invites, just have to finalize the guest list and start printing up the outter enevelopes with Names & Addresses. One QUESTION for you girls, when are you mailing out the invites??? I was thinking late Sept, being that my RSVP date is Nov 12th.... Does this sound like enough time??? need advice...
I have all my favors, they are boxed now, just need to be wrapped all pretty. I made up my little 'heart shape rice' packets a few weeks ago; they came out great. My mom got me these cute place card holders all in Xmas theme characters; made out of putter.
Dresses are all ordered, but none are in yet.
I think Oct they will be in by; fingers crossed
I didn't pick up my shoes yet, but already know where to find them and the style. HM
is all booked & planned, just need to finish paying for it
Think I will be getting my hair and the BM's hair done at a local beauty salon near me. The did my hair for a previous wedding I just recently attended and it came out great.
Still need to find me jewelry for the day of the wedding. Think I going to do pearls, but not certain
Gosh, did I forget anything. I hope you all are doing well and keep us post on how things are coming. Dec is just around the corner!

Re: December Brides
Hi December brides!!!!All of my big stuff is booked now, the florist was booked last month and I booked someone for my (and my BMs) hair and makeup!
My invitations are in, I'm just finalizing the guest list and will probably bring them in to get addressed the end of this month. My response date is the middle of November (I think, I don't have the response cards with me, they're at my parents house, but I think the date is mid Nov.!). I will probably send them out the end of September or the first week of October. That's probably a little early, but with the holidays and all I wanted to get them out early.
My dress is in, I've scheduled my first fitting for the second to last weekend of Sept.
My BM dresses are also in as is my mom's dress and FMILs.
I still need to get some of my accessories like my bra, slip and jewelry, but hopefully I'll be doing that in the next week or so!
I can't wait for December to get here already!! Hope everyone else is doing well!!!

Re: December Brides
Look at this; Wouldn't it make a great center piece for all X-mas Brides:
These would be cute to have everyone for ringing when to 'kiss'... I just picked up the plain ones and put a bow attached.
These would be cool too, for the tables- ice blocks for the winter chill
