My May 27, 2004 Wedding Review!!!!!(Now with link and some proofs!!!!!)

The day was PERFECT!!!! The weather cooperated and the sun shined as bright as it possibly could that day! Before i go on and give my review I would like to thank all the women on here, without all of you I don't think plannning would have been as fun. Hopefully I can reciprocate the gesture and help out other B2B. Here's my review of the day and all my fantastic & wonderful vendors!!!

Cafe Fratelli (Long Beach) - (A+)- Rehearsal dinner-We couldn't have picked a better place! The restaurant is very cozy and the food was awesome! The owner is the chef and he whipped up some tasty dishes.

Cakeline (A+)- Juventus Soccer Jersey Grooms cake.... DH is such a fan of this team that it was only appropriate to get him a cake of their jersey. Cynthia did an absolute breathtaking job recreating the jersey into a cake and DH was floored at the detailing done. A little pricey but so worth it!!

Best Bridal in the Bridal Building NYC (A+)- A co-worker of mine had recomended that I go and check this out and I have to say this was the best bargain I got! I got everything (dress, shoes, veil, tiara) for under $1k- ya can't beat that bargain! I picked out the dress I wanted, they ordered it, came in on time and the fittings were great. I had no problems whatsoever with them. The place gets a little chaotic and busy but I was fine with that. The staff were alll very helpful and accomodating.

Vera Wang (Bridesmaid Dresses)- (A)- I only gave them an A because they do not do alterations on their own dresses. All in all the bridesmaid dresses were stunning and one of a kind looking. The staff is friendly enough and the prices of their dresses is pretty good considering the name you are paying for.

Faye (alterations)- (A+)- Since Vera Wang doesn't do alterations I had to look around for someone to do the job. I found Faye thru another B2B on this board. She is a consultant for Macy's Bridal in Manhasset and does alterations on the side. Let me just say.... she did a fantastic job in altering the dresses. My MOH's dress was a little tricky in terms on taking it in and she did it without any problems. She also doesn't cost and arm & a leg- very fair & reasonably priced.

Perfect Wedding Planner - (A+)-My flowers were absolultely beautiful!!! Chris did a great job putting together the look I wanted. My flowers were a good size and lasted all day into the night time The bridesmaids bo-ks were just a beautiful! He threw in some extras (Cake flowers, toss bo-k, etc). The centerpieces were amazing. I didn't want anything too elaborate or big and they did exactly what I wanted- simple yet elegant flowers!

Hair & Makeup (A+) - Jennifer from Fairytail did an outstanding job!!! It was exactly what i wanted but better! and it stayed in the whole night! She and her assistant were so patient and pleasant to deal with! Everyone complimented me and my bridal party on how our hair and makeup came out so beautiful. I had found Jennifer after having 2 other trials and am so thankful that I ended up using her. She does wonderful work!!!!!!!

In the Mix DJ (A+) - Donny did an absolute fantastic job!! He played all the right music and kept the crowd going. We had added on the photo montage with our package wherein he took photos of all our guests during cocktail hour and the actual wedding and showed it on this flat screen TV on the dance floor. Everyone loved that idea and felt so much a part of our wedding. I am so glad I added that on. They were very professional and wonderful!!!!!

Favorite Things Invitations (A+)- Rebecca did a fantastic job creating my custom made invitations, thank you cards and menu cards. Everyone loved my invitations and menu cards. She was so pleasant and patient to work with and helped me with creating the look I wanted!

Twelfth Night Photography (A+)- Mike & Dominick were both very calming amongst the chaos They were so great to work with and not intrusive at all. I picked up my proofs and all I can say is WOW! They captured every moment of the day and the pictures came out amazing!!!!! Dom gave us a DVD of our digital proofs wherein he has it as a slide show with music in the background. I actually got teary eyed watching it. I am extremely pleased with the outcome and want to say that they're are absolutely talented. We only took pictures on the grounds of the Fox Hollow but they managed to make the place look like a santuary in the pictures.

Bliss Productions NY (Video) (A+) - Jerry was such a sweetheart!!!!!!!!! He made me feel at ease with everything going on around me. The video is just breathtaking!!!! He is extremely gifted. I watched my video and he really captured the day perfectly. I was teary eyed watching it. I for one have never liked being on video but he got some amazing footage and I am just speechless. I knew from the start that he would do a PERFECT job.

The Inn at the Fox Hollow (A+)- I've heard mixed reviews in the past about this place and was a little concerned however they were wonderful to me and my party that stayed there. We had no problems whatsoever and loved the rooms! The breakfast buffet was yummy and the staff extremely helpful!

and lastly........

The Fox Hollow (A+)- What can I say! This was the only place we looked at when we were planning and from that moment we knew this was the place for us! Everything was amazing!!!! The food was great and so much of it (everyone kept saying that there was sooooo much food and how delicious it was). Our Ma'D & Bridal Assistant were so helpful and accomodating! DH & I always had a drink in our hand (as well as our BP
). If you are getting married here you are in GREAT hands!!!!!!!!!
