How many photos didyou pick for your album

I am still undecided as to how many photos I should pick for the album. My photographer shows me albums where there are over 150 photos in them. I kinda feel that we will have our proofs and only need 50 or so in the album, but we are picture fanatics and don't want to be disappointed with too few photos. What are your suggestions?

I have 60 included in my package, but I will probably exceed that by like ten or fifteen.

Ok, this was NOT my choice - my FI is insane - we're getting 100 photos in our album, and they can be any size up to 8x10 - varying or all the same

ETA - I'm trying to convince him that we need the magazine/Soho layout so our book isn't 12 inches thick!!

We got a 65 picture (any size picture upto 10'x10') album.

Um, we were supposed to have 44 pics in our album. BUT, our photographer took close to 700 pics and I pretty much loved them all. So we upgraded to a Soho album and we decided to put 113 pics in it

Oh my goodness! that's so many. We went very small, b/c we hate pictures of our selves. We get to keep the proofs & we will probably have snapshots from guests, so it just seemed like too many!

Our main professional album holds 60 8'X 10' photos. Our parents' album holds 16 5' X 7' photos. We had a hard time deciding what goes in the album because they were all good. We laid the duplicates that our photographer took of the same people/background or scenes side-by-side and picked the best one out of them. That was the best way to decide and choose the best ones of our wedding proofs.
