Question about Disney World Tickets?

Do I need to purchase them in advance? We are going in two weeks and this just dawned on me. We only are going for a day though Any info would be great. I looked on their website, but I got confused Can't I just walk up to the window and buy tickets anymore?

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

When we went in the summer we bought hopper passes so we didn't have to wait on line. We bought them in the Disney Store in the mall.

Yes you can. We had our annual tickets validated at the ticket counter and there was 2 people in front of us.

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

Try looking on ebay as well. Many times people will buy a 5 day park hopper but only use 4 days of it and will sell the last hopper day for cheap. I have done this quite a few times and saved a bunch of money.

just be careful with that... i was reading online that they sell you it and sometimes it might not have the full amount of days they are selling...like they might say 2 days and i might have only 1 or 0....

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I know, JT was a little sketched out by that idea(although I'm a risk taker and would do it in a second). So we will just order them and pick them up will-call that day. I'm SOOOOOOOO excited though because he's NEVER been to Disney I LOVE that I get to bring him there for his first time

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I would buy them directly from the disney store if I was you. It is alot cheaper to buy a Disney Hopper pass from the store instead of going to Disney and buying them straight from the park. Also the lines to buy tickets at the park are insane. Sometimes you can be on line over 30 minutes and sometimes almost an hour.

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

If you have AAA you can also get discount as well as there are more locations you can choose to pick them up from.

Last I heard it was $210 for a 4 day hopper (? or was it five) *shrug*

Just a thought.

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

As far as I know, you can not pre purchase a 1 day pass...you will have to go to the ticket window.

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I do believe that they have Kiosk's now where you can buy tickets from an ATM like machine near the ticket window's.

Edited because I know that they are at Universal but now that I think about it I don't know for SURE that WDW has that as well.

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I wish we were going for longer, but our main mission down there is to see my very elderly and frail grandparents. My grandfather is not doing well at all, but they live right near Disney, and I thought it would be nice to go with JT. So we can only go for one day But one day is better than no days So I will just buy the tickets from the Disney Story. I do have AAA, though, so that is good to know Veronica, thank you!

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I don't know about the single days but disney does sell tickets on their own website - I do know that they discount many of their tickets if they are bought in advance you might want to price them, AAA, and the disney store and see what your best bet is -

But you can also buy at the gate - but you might hit lines and that would take away from park time (and shorter lines)

Re: Question about Disney World Tickets?

I'd get them at the disney store..which park are you going to? A single day ticket won;t ahve park hopping privileges, but you cna buy a multi day ticket and unused days are good forever. The lines are usually not that bad there, but I'd rather be on line to get in than on line to get tickets...
