Anyone book rooms at the Marriott on the LIE exit 58?

I was there today to find out about rooms for the wedding, and they were very thorough and flexible, but I wasn't thrilled with the rooms. Anyone book there?
Also, what about the Wyndham? I liked it better there, but they told me I had to have a two night minimum and I didn't like that.

Is that the Islandia Marriott? That is where we booked our rooms for OOT guests. I thought the actual hotel was most impressive, and I liked the restaurant and bar inside for people to hang out after the wedding or the night before. They seem very nice and were easy to deal with. I got a packet in the mail and reserved a block of 10 rooms, which can be cancelled up to a week before.

Is that the Courtyard Marriott or the Long Island Marriott?

I booked at the Courtyard Marriott, but I did not go and check out the rooms. I did find the group sales manager very accomodating. I was able to negotiate $99 per night including breakfast each morning. Also shuttle service to and from my wedding. And for an extra $50 for the bartender, we are booking the lounge to stay open from 11pm - 2am for our after-wedding party.

What did you find was wrong with the rooms?

Re: Anyone book rooms at the Marriott on the LIE exit 58?

No, no, the Courtyard Marriott had beautiful rooms, I just wanted more of a hotel feel. The Islandia Marriott, I just felt like it looked a little old and run down inside the rooms, but the more I think about it, the more I think that the rooms were fine and I was just being picky. I think I am going to block the rooms there. They were so helpful and accomodating. Thanks girls!

It's a Marriott. Even if its an older hotel, the service will still be up to par, I'm sure.
