Best place to buy a gown/bridesmaid dresses?
I am pretty sure of the dress I want to get (Mon Cheri).. I was thinking about getting it from Adrienne's, but after some of the things I've read.. I'm not so sure about that...Can anyone recommend somewhere that you have had a good experience with?
Thank you!

i got my dress at burton's bridal in melville - i think they can order any dress as long as you know the style #. the reason i chose them was that they have a discount of 10-15%.

I bought mine from RK Bridal in Manhattan and had a really great experience. But the key is to go during the week. Weekends are a madhouse.

Re: Best place to buy a gown/bridesmaid dresses?
I TOTALLY recomend you try BAYSHORE BRIDAL SUITE.........they have been wonderful to work with and very, very helpful. I actually left my camera there 3 weeks ago when my gown came in (I went to sneak a peek) and even though they didn't know who's it was....when I called yesterday to make an appointment for my first fitting I figured I'd ask if anyone found it and low and behold they had it up at the front desk waiting for someone to claim it. Honesty..........a very important thing when dealing with something as important as your wedding dress. I would never go to Adraina (sp?) after hearing so many horrible stories about them and then I read the thread earlier today. I wonder if the owners pants are on fire

Rk Bridal is a good place if you know what you want. You can even call & see if they havethe dres you want. The Bridal Garden in Bethpage is a good place to try things on if you have an idea, but need some guidance.
Not sure if they have Mon Cheri, but you can call.

Re: Best place to buy a gown/bridesmaid dresses?
Bay Shore Bridal Suite is really good, so is Lilettes in Baldwin-soooo nice. For my friends wedding, we got our dresses on line at netbride.com. I was researching it for my BM and there is also Houseofbrides.com. The dresses were so much cheaper than in the stores. One dress was $245.00 in the store and $133.00 on line because they order directly from the manufacturer. The dresses come in earlier also. As long as everyone has measurements, it is sooo easy.

Valentina's in Brooklyn is wonderful. The customer service there is great. With regards to the BMs dresses, each BM gets 10% off the ticket price and free alternations. With regard to your gown, if it is over a certain price ($1K), you get a free headpiece, free veil, free slip and free alternations.

Not sure either, but my dress and the BM dresses are from there, and they were super nice. (the women who worked there, but the dresses too!)
I think Lillette's in Baldwin carries Mon Cheri, though I don't know what the service, etc. is like.
edited for clarity.

I didn't look from my gown there, but we order BM dresses for my brothers wedding that had to be rushed, like 8 weeks, and I got 2 BM dresses altered there. Only thing was with the second BM dress I was stepping on the back hem all night and by the time the night was over it had completely come out.
Its possible that that was my fault
