PLEASE post the wording you are using on your program cards!

I have looked for books with different suggestions, but haven't found anything...are you just writing people's names in the order they are walking down the isle? Are you including the name of the person marrying you? Anything else to include?
Thanks!

Re: PLEASE post the wording you are using on your program cards!

Im not sure if Im understanding (program cards?) but information depends on the style and size of your program. For instance, some girls choose to use a booklet. That will hold a lot of info and you can list your whole bridal party, plus traditions, readings, songs, and a thank you to your guests that attended. I am choosing to do a tri-fold program with a monogram in the front, bridal party on the second panel, an explanation of family traditions that we will include in the ceremony on the third panel, and a thank you on the back panel. Hope this helps!!

Re: PLEASE post the wording you are using on your program cards!

Well, I hope I am using the right terminology, but program cards usually state the people in the bridal party and the people doing readings and what they are reading...basically what is happening during the ceremony, so during the ceremony, people know what is going on.

I am planning to just list the people walking down the isle in the order they are walking in and the people doing reading and the title of what they are reading...I was interested in seeing how people wrote their cards, if they just listed people's names or if they included their relations to the bride and groom, or what...I never saved the program cards from other weddings that I have been to, so I have nothing to use as a reference!

Re: PLEASE post the wording you are using on your program cards!

so it's just the program that you're talking about?
we had all of the members of the bridal party listed, our parents and the officiant.
and we also included the order of the ceremony, along with the songs we were using for the different parts.
my husband designed them, and on the front, he drew a picture of us and made it look like a polaroid picture, and underneath was written out wedding date. then he put the saying that was on the unity candle.
the back of the program had a shakespearean sonnet that we were placing at all of the pace settings
i dont' think i have any pictures though....so i hope that helped
