budget photography

Does everyone think that Duet is definitely the best choice photographers for the money???? Any other suggestions, I should check out? I already have a video guy! HELP!

i went to arianna studios....i got the video and photographer for $2,700. they did my FSIL wedding last year and her pics were great

Duet gives you alot for your money! Besides the great price I love their pictures also. Here are my casual day pictures from Duet. .
You can try other photographers and get a good price if you don't get the albums now. 12th night is a good one of these.

We are getting 2 photographers from 12th Night for about $1600.

my vote goes for Duet. I planned on visiting with a few different photographers, but I ended up booking them on the spot because I loved their work and I was really impressed with what they were willing to give me for my $$.

Duet definetly has great prices but we werent' thrilled with the samples they showed us. After seeing a lot of peoples pix on here my opinion has changed... but we are using Twelfth Night.

My problem with many photograhpers is that they don't offer parent albums with a basic package. Who wants photography without that?

My budget is $2,000 for photography so if anyone knows a photographer that offers a basic package including the albums, let me know.

I am meeting with 12th Night though.

I think Duet does amazing work. I've looked at bride's proofs on here who have had cheaper photographers and while they like them, as a person with a photo background myself, I noticed obvious mistakes, like using indoor fi;m outdoors, using the same pose over and over again, not metering correctly, and they really make a big difference in the photos. I think Duet does a great job. I'd be wary of anything too cheap. You sometimes really do get what you pay for!

Honestly, I think if you are really desperate for great pics that are affordable, I would go with a professional photographer who is developing the wedding aspect of his work. They are usually willing to work for much less because they cannot yet bill themselves as a 'wedding expert.' You really need someone who knows how to take pictures of people...put them in the weding context, and (making sure your personalitites mesh)...and i think you might have your 'budget' photographer. I like the sound of this guy and am considering meeting with him: His album reflects a ton of photography work in every field with reasonable rates for weddings.
