Boil til soft. Then marinade in BBQ sauce (I like Open Pit BBQ sauce) and Saucy Susan combo. Grill until crispy!

Re: Does anyone have a good recipe for Spare Ribs?
Are you looking for a bbq sauce recipe? When I make ribs I always buy babyback ribs - I find them to be less fatty and softer. I boil them for at least 30 mins and then either bake (if it's wintertime) or I'll put them on the bbq.
For the bbq sauce, I make it with Ketchup, Brown Sugar and Worcestershire sauce. It's a very easy recipe. DH loves it because it is VERY sweet.

I have a good one where the ribs start out in the crock pot (great to start if you are out for the day . . .) and then tranferred tot he grill for a little grilling!!!! Meat falls OFF the bone - homemade BBQ sauce with the recipe too! Shall I post?

When I make ribs, I use a really flavorful dry rub with barbeque seasoning, garlic and onion powder, garlic pepper, a little paprika, etc., and then bake it in the oven (covered) until cooked and tender. You can baste them if you want, but I prefer to just leave them on their own.

Re: Does anyone have a good recipe for Spare Ribs?
When we make ribs we use babyback ribs. Heat the BBQ on low heat. Wrap the ribs in tinfoil with a few ice cubes on top of them (The ice steams the ribs and makes them very tender). Then put on BBQ for 1 hour. Remove the ribs from the tin foil and put your fav BBQ sauce on them. Then put them back on the grill over medium heat. Turning and basting with sauce for 30 -40 minutes. The meat comes out so tender it will fall off the bone.

We just use Hoison sauce (you can pick it up at most grocery stores) and some lime juice and marinate for a while. Then just throw on the BBQ

Re: Does anyone have a good recipe for Spare Ribs?
boil the ribs in a large pot with enough water to cover, add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, a teaspoon of pepper and a teaspoon and half of salt, boil until tender
preheat your oven to 325, transfer ribs to a baking sheet, brush on some bbq sauce and bake for 1 1/2 - 2 hours

Re: Does anyone have a good recipe for Spare Ribs?
If your doing them on the bbq and are going to boil them first defiantly boil in apple juice,t he flavor it gives the ribs is amazing. If it's winter time I cook them in the oven and I must say sometimes it comes out better than the grill. Season and wrap the ribs tightly in Saran wrap a few times. Then cover with tine foil very well make sure none of the saran wrap is visible and put in the oven on a tray. After about 1 hour take all the warping off and let roast on high heat until crisp. The meat will fall off the bones.
