How does the marriage license thing work??
When can we go and get them?? How long are they vaild for?? How much was it and what do I need to bring??

BUT... My FH can't find his birth certificate and I called the Town of N. Hempstead town hall place and they said just a valid US passport and drivers license would be fine. I think it is $40...valid for 60 days.

After 60 days the marriage expires?
And remember that there is a 24 hour waiting period so don't get your license on Aug 1st if you're getting married on August 2nd, it won't work

I went to the new Brookhaven town hall complex. It's off of Exit 63 (No. Ocean Ave) make a left at the light go straight and get off at the Bicyle Path Exit (Ampitheatre Exit) and make a right. You'll see the entrance up ahead on the left.
Took literally 10 minutes from walking in, filling out a form, paying and leaving.
