Ok here goes! Honestly no complaints, not one. Everything was perfect!


I have to say all my vendors from the very beginning treated me wonderful. As soon as wet met someone, we clicked. Then we knew it was time to book them. Some of them I even became friends with. So a huge thanks to LI Weddings. Without them it would have been just another wedding that people went to.

Black Tie Tuxedos- They were so nice to us the moment we walked in the door. Made me feel super comfortable. Dale picked out the tuxedo. That was one of the few things he got. lol. They do all their alterations there on the spot. Even when the tuxedos were not in the day before because they had car trouble, they offered to buy my dad and Dale a beer at the brickhouse while they waited.

Finishing Touch for slip covers- When I first went to one of the Villa shows and saw the set up with slip covers, I had to have them. I just gave my mom a look and she knew. It really adds a certain something to the room. The last week dealing with them on the phone was fantastic. They were so sweet and helpful.

Fr. Jim Wilshere- Officiant- We loved Fr. Jim the first time when we met him way over a year ago. The service was amazing. we got married in the yard of Villa's and it was supposed to rain, which held out!!! I started to cry when he read the hands poem. I always loved that and did not know he was going to perform it. So I was so happy he did.

Hampton Inn Brookhaven- When I blocked the hotel rooms it winded up that I was friends back in high school with the manager of reservations. She was awesome. The hotel was gorgeous. They even got them a taxi for my guests being the wedding ran later than their shuttle.

LA Blossom Florist- From the beginning Laurie made this so easy for me. I did not get a florist until February of this year because I did not know what I wanted. Then I went to a LI Weddings.com gtg and saw one of her centerpieces and knew I had to have that one. They were so different than the usual centerpieces I had seen at weddings. I am still getting compliments about her centerpieces. My bouquet had pink crystals inside the stephanotis. I am drying my bouquet right now and it still looks beautiful. The centerpieces were different shades of pink on each table. Around the centerpieces had crystals!!! I loved the low centerpieces, it made it look very elegant and romantic. I even had a memorial bouquet made for my grandmother to plazce on an empty chair which the next day my parents went to the cemetary and left it there.

Lidia's in Copaigue From the first moment I stepped into this place, I was in love. She let me pick out dresses that I tried on. We bonded with Lidia and her daughter that own this boutique. They never over priced us, did not order me a dress that need to be taken in oodles of times. The bridesmaid dresses were beautiful. I was so happy with their service that I hope to use them again. I loved my dress so much. I felt like a princess and was comfortable the entire day.

Marie Katz Make Up- I met Marie because a bride totally bashed her saying 'do not use Marie' in one of their subject lines that I had to get a trial. Well I want to thank this bride. Marie is AWESOME. When I spoke to her on the phone it was like talking to a friend that I had not seen in years. She made me feel comfortable that I wanted to fall asleep in her chair. My make up stayed on the entire night. I never had to touch it up and it felt so light on.

Music By Michael DJ- Another one of my favorites. He was just so honest... 'If you are looking for an in your face dj that is going to be pulling people on to your dance, I am not your guy' Dale and I looked at one another and knew he was our guy. He did not try and sell himself. He always kept in contact with me. The guests were on the dance floor the entire time. He let us pick out majority of our music. And let me tell you, if you have any regrest about playing 'hey ya' about outkast, that got EVERYONE on the floor!!! Michael even made us a cd with some of our favorites on it. What a pleasure he was. Everyone is still asking about him!

Mya Hair- It stayed in for a few days. It still looked good when we left for our honeymoon but I wanted to keep it up. She did it so fast and it did not hurt or too tight but was able to hold up for that long. She also did my mom's make up and hair. My mom looked beautiful. Another wonderful person!

Prime Time Travel- They were great. My cousin works for this small company based out of Bellport. They really deal with senior travel but you can plan cruises through them. We always kept in excellent contact with one another. We even got our limo service provided for free because we booked our cruise with them. The cruise was fantastic and we are going to go again next year!!!

Stan Wiest Ceremony Harp- Let me tell you, she was wonderful. Everything was perfect that she played. My guests really loved that touch.

Sir Oliver Limos- What a great group of guys. My dad and I had such a nice time talking to the owner on the way that I really was not nervous the entire time.

Timeless Impressions Tanya Henigman photo journalist- She was awesome! If you are looking for someone who gives you one on one attention. She never was pushy and was great with my little cousin's. She had taken over 200 pictures just at my house. I felt more like a model than a bride. Which I loved! LOL. She made it super easy to pose. I can't wait for my proofs! She was also doing digital so I could see what she was taking at times. I couldn't believe it was me in the photos! She even thanked me for setting a table for vendors where they could sit down and eat. Apparently, people don't always feed the vendors and she was so touched that we had a table for them! Our last photo outside, the heavens opened up and we booked it inside. I like to think it was my grandma giving me her blessing. She had loved the rain and I knew she waited for everything to be perfect to let me know she was with me.

Villa Lombardi's- What can I say??? No one has anything to worry about. They were so nice from beginning to the end. I did not get to eat too much so I was glad I went to all those cocktail hours. Our Maitre De Shawn was so sweet. He did my bustle, got me food and drinks whenever I needed it. What a hunny! I told him if I was married to Dale he would been have been next in line! lol. At one point, I was just having such a nice time and I told him that I felt bad that I was not able to say hello to everyone and he said, 'Don't worry about it, it is your wedding day! Just enjoy yourself' Before I knew it, it was 10:00 and we are cutting cake! Everything was great! I did not mind that I did not have the rooms with the windows. The ambiance was still fun and exciting. We even got dinners for people who did not show up which are in my freezer waiting to be eaten. And the cake was delicious! Being I went to so many tastings we found one we loved... It was chocolate cake, with chocolate mousse, raspberry icing and buttercream which is whipped so much that it is like whipped cream. We had it tinted a very light pink with my barbie cake topper!

Wild Rose Video- My family wants to adopt Bill. My mom is in love. So Marie watch out. LOL. What a gentleman! His ideas are so different. He also showed me play back footage THAT day! He sees things so differently. I loved the way that he and Tanya played off of eachother's ideas! They are more artists than your typical video and photo persons. I can't wait to see his final work. You did not even know he was there!

So a huge thank you to everyone! You really made my day a true fairytale wedding. One that I have dreamed about for the past 30+ years!

And all the other details of your wedding day looked great also . Your flowers were especially beautiful , as always Laurie outdid herself

WOW everything sounds great! You guys look wonderful too! I am interested in the Villa too, we have an appt. there next Tues., do you mind me asking if it was VERY pricy or reasonable? Everying costs sooooooooo much I am scared to do all of this, but would like to have an idea about the $ per plate at the Villa.
