Re: My Mother needs wedding gown HELP!!

I agree with Groomsmom about going to department stores. You may have also seen my response on the other thread. If you can get there, I've heard good things about Nordstrom's on Rt. 4 in New Jersey, and Neiman Marcus in White Plains. Although I haven't been there in years, there also used to be a really nice dressy gown store in Secaucus. They carried the 'Black Tie' gowns. I bought a really nice one there about 5 years ago from my brother-in-law's wedding for a couple of hundred dollars.
Good Luck.

Re: My Mother needs wedding gown HELP!!

I bought my gown for my sons wedding at JC Penny. And it was really reasonable and very suitable for MOG.

Check out my photo album on LI Weddings and you can see. I also bought my gown for my daughters wedding at Catherines in Patchogue. Though, I don't know your mom's size, I'm a plus and they are also very reasonable.

My mom & grandma got their dresses there. They are off the rack.

My aunts were successfuly at Totally You in Wantagh/Bellmore & Omnibus in Babylon.

ETA- I just realized this was an old post & her wedding has come & gone, but if anyone else needs help, I reccomend those 3 stores.
