Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

FH and I are going to get the Child Wedding Portrait. It is actually sold on the store at this site. They take two of your childhood pictures and make a wedding portrait. I have seen a few brides on this site do it.

Got to the store on the site. I think the vendor is PY graphics. Go to the store and go under gifts for parents.

Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

I ordered my save the dates through PY graphics and they came out amazing!! They are a little pricey, there is a $150 fee just to do the artwork w/o even buying a pic but my magnets are awesome!! I will post a pic later. I got 100 save the date magents and one 8 x 10 and it cost over $400!! I didn't want to spend that much but I couldn't resist!! It was worht it and I will just go a little less on my invites! I printed the order form right on their website and maile dit in with our pics. I know that NYLisa did it too! FM if you have any other questions!

Good luck!

Besides parent albums and a DVD, we got our parents this

Wrote a poem for each set of parents and created a booklet with our baby pic on top

Also got my dad this frame. I am putting a pic of me and my dad in it from when I was young.

Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

So, we did a sentimental gift...

We snuck around the house and found pictures of our parents together that were not on display - his had a nice wedding pic, mine didn't so I found a nice one of them dating in the 60's.

We scanned them in and touched them up and put them in a nice 8 x 10' frame. And when we gave it to them said something about them being role models for us blah blah blah...

They really loved it! It reminded them of the fuzzy feelings when they were getting married.

And we got the mom's necklaces...

Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

We are giving the parents small albums of wedding pics and taking them out to dinner for a personal thank you (as well as saying 'thanks' about a million times!). I wanted to think of something else, but couldn't come up with anything good. I think it's a tough one!

Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

We are getting them each tickets to a broadway show and a gift certificate to their favorite restaurants in the city for a night out...they will need a break after this wedding. We thought it was nicer then giving them something dealling with the wedding. We will probably get them 8x10 picture frames with a picture of each of our familys once the wedding is over.

I also got both mom hankies with nice saying on them.

Re: Any suggestions for gifts for the parents?

We got my father a Movado watch (which we got engraved) with a Father's Hanky and My mother we got her an antique 18K white gold diamond ring for her right hand and a mother's hanky. We also got them Tiffany's perfume and cologne. (The scent will also remind them of our day)

And these are things that they will have for the rest of their lives and remember our special day when they wear it. His parents aren't too sentimental and all they think about is themselves so we got them a 4 night 5 day getaway to Montauk.

32 Days to Go!!!
