When you sent out the invitations...
...did you take them to the Post Office for assurance, or did you just drop them into the mailbox with the correct postage?

i would bring them to the post office..i haven't done it yet, but i think that you can hand cancel them.

It's when the post office stamps the postage instead of running them through the machine. Some invites are too think and the envelopes may rip.

I brought them to the Post Office to check AGAIN that I had enough postage. I was so worried about the invites coming back to me.

I took it to the post office, so it could be weighed for the correct about of postage. I put them in the box in the post office and everyone received their invites with no problem. All 250 of them.

My FH took them to the Post Office, one of the main offices in NYC, I got a call the next day from my friend in CA, saying that she can't wait to come to the wedding - she had already received the invite. I thought this was supposed to be snail mail.

My dad mailed mine from the main post office in Manhattan too and almost all my guests received theirs the next days too.
