Our June 26 2004 wedding Review!!! And the honeymoon Review! And a few Table Camera Pics. ETA: new update on Swan Club!

First let me say thank you LIW for this wonderful site. I wouldn't have had any of my great Vendors with out LIW! Thank you to every single girl on this web site for your help opinions (good and bad). Let the review begin!


Saint James R.C. Church A+
Although I had some prior issues with them the ceremony was great. I was a CRYING mess the whole time. The rehearsal couldn't have went a little better because the lady that did it did it tell us what we had to do so that day we where a little confused. Anyone who is getting married there Ask questions. The lady that did ours I know that her daughter died a couple of years ago she was hit and killed by a car on Hempstead Tpke. That is probably why the lady isn't all together.

Sir Oliver Limo- B
Sir Oliver was good. Got us to where we needed to go. Was on time. Limo was SO CLEAN! The one thing that upset me but wasn't their fault was My Bridesmaid left her Bo-K in the limo we ran back and he was pulling out. We tried to call the office no one answered we got the machine. My HUSBAND left a message and they never returned it. We then realized that my husband left the box to his Movado Watch that I bought him as a wedding gift in the limo We called them the next day and they didn't have it. O well it was our own fault. They were late picking ( you know the FREE limo that all you have to do is give the driver a 50.00 tip?) us up at the end of the night. Like almost 40 minutes late. The Swan Club was great we where the last ones to leave the staff sat and talked to us as if they'd known us forever! When the limo finally showed up he was annoyed that he had to drive us to the plaza in NYC! Then when we got there he was like 50.00 AND 8.00 for the tolls. Like the company couldn't have s*cked that up after they where 40 minutes late? Didn't have the bo-k or the movado watch box. All the warranty info was in that box!


Laurie LA Blossom A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My words can't even express how GREAT Laurie was. She went over my expectations. If anyone has not Flowers booked flowers goto FM her. She came to us with her Laptop and everything! They were amazing. Every single person who has seen the pics has said WOW flowers were GREAT! She is so Sweet and acts more as a friend then a Florist but still is very smart business wise! She worked with our price. We went to another florist who rushed us out the door in 5 minutes and was like 800.00 different then Laurie and Lauries work was nicer then anything I have ever seen them do.

We got our proofs back They came out great. I have to get my hands on a scanner so that I can scan them. The one thing that disappointed me was that I got married at the Swan Club Beautiful GARDENS and we stayed in one little section for pictures. I didn't think to say anything I was CRAZY that day.

B rett M atthews Video A
Raw Footage came out good. Mike was upset cause the video guy missed our first kiss. Mike Best Man (one of them) Had just broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years I love this girl and she was invited to e-party and my shower. I had to invite her to the wedding I told her to bring one of her Girl Friends if she couldn't find a date because I didn't want her to feel weird. Well her friend (who I know) Wore a tiny skirt. The Video guy Video taped them A LOT!

Everyone is still telling me how AWESOME the Dj was! Rio was our Dj and John was our MC Honestly we couldn't have had a better DJ! THEY played everything we wanted. And mixed it up which was awesome! The next day my cousin said to me URE DJ was the best I have ever heard! Book them you will no be sorry. Everyone keeps telling me how they had EVERYONE up and on the dance floor.

FABULOUS! What else can I say. They treated Mike and I so GOOD. Our Matre D' wound up not being Barbara she had something else that weekend. I think the guys name was michael. GREAT! Whatever we needed he got for us. We got to the Swan Club at 5 and our Cocktail Hour wasn't till 7. Michael told us get here right after the Church this way ure pictures are done and out of the way so you can enjoy the Cocktail Hour which is what we did. As soon as the limo got there They showed us to the back and there was a waiter waiting there for drink orders and bringing us Hors D'evorous (SP)

My Best Friend who was my MOH told me people were complaing about the food. She's picky My Husband had the Filet Mignon and I had the Chicken they were Delicious. I blame that on people's differences in Tastes.

I asked for a Square stacked cake instead i got a box. It wasn't what I was Expecting but i didn't let it ruin my day. It did taste good for the record. We had the V. Hour. People Raved about but they did say that they people in the back got there and a lot was gone already.

ALL IN ALL it was GREAT!!

Im talking to my mom and she tells me that my aunt (who is in a wheelchair) was freaking out because there was no way for her to get down to the food during the Cocktail hour. Then she tells me Mrs P. (Family friend lived next door to my mom growing up) who is about 90 + and walks with a walker arrived at the wedding and the Valets didn't say anything to her about a ramp then she fell down the steps. The greeters that where standing their didn't even say anything! Then leaving again she fell up the steps and my uncle had to pick her up and carry her. Im outraged seriously!!!!! I can not get over this. The woman didn't say anything until the next day when we had brunch at our house and my mom said she was going to call the swan club and complain the woman was like i wasnt hurt don't worry!


THEN mom says to me remember when we went to do the menu with barbara. I was like yeah and we asked for dramboie (SP) so uncle frank and uncle ray could have their rust nails I said yeah she said well uncle frank and uncle ray both asked for Rusty Nails and where told no. The bartende called over the matre d who took the contract out of his pocket and showed uncle frank it wasnt listed.
I can't believe he showed one of our guest our contract!!!!! It wasnt listed cause we asked barbra if they had and they told us yes. We paid to have jagermister and becks beer. We would have paid for the drambouie! My mom said had she'd know about this she wouldnt have given him his tip.

Kathy is great! Everything that she did was GREAT. They have a family business. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out Kathy when it is time for u to pick all ure stuff out. She is so NICE to work with! We got invites favors girls jewlery there.


HONEYMOON!!!!!!!!!

Hyatt San Francisco.A Nice hotel Nice Room. We got a big room with a Jaquzzi tub and the first night they messed up and left the joing room door open that went into a suite with a table living room.

Hyatt Ohau A We got an awesome View. Ocen View. We got Champagne on arrival. Hyatt is in Wakikki which is right across from the beach and its very city like.
We did a dinner Cruise which sucked and they LIED to us.

Hyatt Kaui A Again Awesome View Parcial Ocean View We were over the pool and you could see the Ocean in the back. The pool her was awesome. It was a big lagoon and at one end it had a Huge TwistyWater slide. They also had a lagoon with Saltwater and you could rent a Kayak and Kayak in the saltwater pool! Kaui was so Country like they had roosters crossinf the street and cows horses. SO pretty. The Grass there is Neon Green. Also got Champagne. We did our helicopter tour here OMG that was so worth the money!!!!!!!!! The Views were amazing.


Hyatt Maui A. Great Hotel and Great View again this time wehad ocean view but the pool (which had a swim up bar) is right in front of the ocean. They also had a water slide! When we checked in in Maui they gave us a Coupon for all Honeymooners it was a sunset Sail for 75.00 a couple we did that on the last night. It was on a catamaran which was rocky but Expected. We booked a snorkel trip on the same boat that was so much FUN and it was like 80.00 a person. We did the Luau at the Hyatt we both thought it was GREAT! Worth the money!

We stopped in Vegas on the way back stayed at the RIO We usually stay at Harrah (harrahs owns the Rio) Mike was able to get the room in the rio for 59.00 on sat and free on Sunday. I loved this place A lot of fun Will definetly stay here again! The last time we went we stayed at the Venetian and the workers where SO rude to us. Will take the rio over the Venetian anyday.

Thank you all for reading and thank u all again for EVERYTHING!!!!!! I had a perfect day. Even though I had problems leading up to that day like my DH mom who wore the Lavendar dress that I asked her not to wear cause she would match my girls She wore it anyway. And I just showed some people my proofs who didnt know the story and they went who is that was she bridesmaid I said no She was MOG and they laughed and said she looked like an Idiot wearing the same color! LOL She did it to her self! Thank You Everyone!
