Re: Need suggestions of Queens reception halls
Caffe on the Green is really more of a shower or birthday facility. I would not recommend it for a wedding , It is also a very odd shaped room.

I highly recommend Russo's on the Bay. My family has been to many functions there and they are all first class.

Re: Need suggestions of Queens reception halls
Terrace on the Park and Russo's on the Bay are the two best places in Queens - both are beautiful and very professionally managed. We also looked at Caffe on the Green (they have very pretty grounds - but you can use them for photos even if your wedding is elsewhere because it is on property owned by the NYC Dept of Parks and therefore public.) but we found the room alittle odd - 2 dance floors (what was that about!??) and the lady we spoke with just didn't seem too sharp. We haven't booked a place yet but definitely are still considering Russo's and Terrace. Good luck!!

There's also the Metropolitan Building and The Foundry in LIC, which allow you more freedom in who caters the party.

I looked @ the Water's Edge in LIC- it's really nice b/c the view is amazing- right on TOP of NYC.. and they even time sunset cocktail hours/ceremonies..

Re: Need suggestions of Queens reception halls
I also did not like the shape of the upstairs room at Caffe on the Green. I have eaten there- the food is great, but we decided against it because of the shape of the room and the fact that we would have had to put 12 at a table. If you are having a small wedding, it could work, but for 100 or more, I would look at other places.
