A Question for Past (and future) Duet Brides

For anyone that used Duet for photography, how long did your formal pictures take to get done on your wedding day?

I'm trying to figure out a timeline for the wedding day, and I want to know how much time I can expect for formal pics to take. This doesn't include getting ready time- this is just pics of all of the bridal party, families, etc.

Thanks everyone!

I have no idea.... i guess it just depends on how many you want them to take (one of you and all your BM seperately or just pix of yu and them together...etc.)

Re: A Question for Past (and future) Duet Brides

We took pics almost all the way through our cocktail hour alone, and with families and BP. We probably took an hour, but we only had an MOH and BM, so there weren't very many combinations involved. I would've liked to have done more actually, now that I look at my pics. But at the time, we just wanted to party!!

Re: A Question for Past (and future) Duet Brides

Thanks, ladies.

We're taking ALL of the pictures before the reception. I'm trying to figure things out like, it the ceremony is at 6:30, what time do I have to go and get my hair done, to still have time to take pics beforehand.

Anyone else?

Call Nicole and ask her. It depends on how many people are in the bridal party, how many sets of parents, # of family.

She told me about 1 1/2-2 hours.

Re: A Question for Past (and future) Duet Brides

ALWAYS give yourself more time that you think you need. It ALWAYS takes longer than you expect and all of the things you do before the pictures even start take longer (like getting dressed and getting to wherever you need to be).

It takes a lot of time to gather everyone where they need to be and get them in position for pictures- believe me! It's not as easy as point & shoot! We did all formal pictures before the ceremony. Our ceremony was called for 11:30 AM and we planned to start taking pictures there at 9. Well, it took me a little longer to get dressed than expected so we didn't start until closer to 9:30. By 11, I was crazed because we didn't get all of the pictures I wanted to. Also, going from location to location, even in the same building, takes time!

Make sure you have a list of those pictures and combinations of people. I would give yourself no less than 2 hours but I would pad that a little.
