Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
Thanks. I just think it looks so long on the model and I agree that the skirt looks different. Oh, well. I love the dress when I put it on, but I hate it on this model.

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
I am a retoucher ... I can look close if i had the jpgs...the one in the top looks like an ad .. these ads are almost alway retouched to make the dress look better .. it looks less ' poofy ' on the model at the hips..this is because the ad has stylists... and the fabric looks smoother... it does not look the same.( retouched!)
.. and what i noticed mostly is the bodice fits the model better. it drops down and curves around the top over her hips to make a better line its appears longer on her .... the other one is too high up and more severe across the front .. it needs to be an inch or 2 lower on you .. once again, this could be the photo itself.. or the other one was retouched .. the lacey shiney/things look a little different but it's hard to tell also .. i think it does not fit you right and that is the problem you are longer than the model ..... I hope this helps .. sorry

thank you for your honest opinion. however I already bought the dress a few months ago. I am really nervous now, but in the picture, it wasn't placed correctly. When I stood up on the pedestal thing, and the bottom wasn't all scrunched up and the girl at the store tightened the top, I think it looked better on me. i tried it on in the store and a lot of people (other customers) gasped and told me that i looked beautiful and I absolutely loved it. then i asked for a picture and i wasn't crazy about it, but i went to the store again and tried it on and loved it again.
It's eve of milady. i think i am going to go try it on again tonight.

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
I think the dress is beautiful....once the dress comes in - in your size and is fitted it will look stunning - keep that in mind, when you try these dresses on in the store they are usually way to big and pulled and clipped to fit - so it's hard to tell it's true shape.Good Luck

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
It looks like the same dress. Eve of Milady dresses can be cut weird sometimes and they reflect light differently, that's why the material may look differnt. Did you compare it to the sample the store has?

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
At first I thought they looked different, but after looking closely they look the same. The embroidery/beading looks like a different color. I like what you are wearing much better! Who makes the dress? I love it!

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
OK I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I went back to the store tonight and tried it on. I took more pictures but I can't post tonight because I don't have the attachment to my camera. Anyway, it's an Eve of Milady and it looks beautiful in person. I totally agree that the color looks different. I looks a little pink in the picture, but it's silver and white. It looks so elegant. I must admit, i did take one piture and was still a little worried, but i think it's just because my hair was up in a ponytail andi had absolutely no makeup on and i took a close up. when i took full length pictures, i loved it. i was afraid of it looking too long, but the lady at the store showed me what it would look like if the torso was shorter and it really made me look short, so i liked it better long. BTW, the girls at Bridal Reflections were really sweet about it. they were great.

Re: Am I nuts or do these dresses look different?
I am glad it was just bunched up .. upon closer inspection, you do look great even if it did not look identical to the photo... I really mean that .. one good tug from the bottom should fix it .... everything can be adjusted .. i I have that critical eye ...good luck!
