I am using Jack and Rose. He is very talented and very reasonably priced. I brought a party planner to my design session and she couldn't believe what I was getting for what I paid.

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
I would say do a search but all of the negatives about J&R florists are removed from this site because he is a vendor on herei remember reading many posts of unhappy brides because of some kind of 20% tip they were NOT aware of..just becareful

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
Not that I'm saying that I am totally happy, but I did call and asked about that 20 % tip that was never mentioned until the final contract. I was told is was a suggestion and I could handle in a way I'm most comfortable. In other words, I guess it's not mandatory to give as much and with the last payment. IMO I shouldn't have to pay a tip even before I see how the service is.

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
I'm sure you know but just in case they mooved the store there not on th ecorner of Jericho anymore you have to make a right heading west or a left heading east. It's about 1/4 of a mile on the right. If I could remember the name of the road that would help.

Yes, definitely some great advice. I would suggest doing a search on here about him but you'll mostly only find the good posts as pretty much all of the negative ones were removed due to one reason or another.
Meet with him, see if he's your style...but definitely meet with others - as with any vendor - before making a decision.
I met with him before choosing Flower Michele - FM me if you have any questions.

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
What do you mean a 20% tip? Is that on the whole order or just tip the delivery and set up person? How can they expect a 20% tip on the whole order? How much did you tip?
Thanks, because I am probably going to book him next week.

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
You should do a search of brides who used him on the bridal review in May and June then FM them -In addition to the 20% I did read in a few reviews that I believe they when they deliver the flowers they want you to sign pages and pages saying everything is perfect. They did bother a few girls at their receptions to sign papers as well.

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
they moved down to 300 woodbury road.jack has been an absolute pleasure to work with. our personalities clicked right away. the designs he came up with for my wedding are absolutely beautiful. i was so indecisive with what I wanted and he met with us for 3 hours until we decided what would be our centerpieces and flowers. of course, the final 'grade' will be when my wedding occurs.
i think the reason for why he wants people to check their wedding day flowers is to avoid all of the previous drama that has ensued on this board. just my opinion.
best advice, go meet with him and other florists, and then decide.
good luck to you:)

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
Are you suppose to pay 20% of the total bill? That would be several hundred dollars. Is that correct? Please advise!

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
No, you will not have to tip 20%I booked J&R and just had my design session on Monday. It's a 'suggestion', I read the fine print, it's only if you WANT to tip, most people don't. The price of your flowers INCLUDES all labor. However, you should tip the delivery person.
I love Jack, I think he's VERY talented and accmodating! He's very into his work. I'm so excited to see my flowers on the big day!

Re: JACK AND ROSE FLORIST
i have to check my contract, but he did not mention anything to me about a 'tip.' i would think it would be 20% of the total amount of your bill less any delivery charges if you have any.Welcome New Vendors
