Whatever happened to the book club???

I remember a while back someone trying to start a book club where we all read the smae book...

Did this ever happen? If not would people be willing to join a monthly club?

Maybe all get on and discuss at a set time? Or maybe get together at someone's house to discuss..depedning on locations travel etc...

Any opinions? Volunteers?

for me I need some motivation to continue reading through the school year..with work I get overwhelemed and tend to push aside novels..this would really keep me going and force me to read books I might not have chosen...

I was always into the idea, but I think a lot of people lost interest... I'd still be into it.

Any ideas how we want to work this? Take turns picking books and deciding on one and then picking a date to talk about... just a suggestion.

I would do it. The New York times has 'the great summer read' where they have a book every other week free in the paper. There's a little bit everyday starting on monday and by sunday you've read the whole book. Maybe that's a way to choose the book? This week it's Breakfast at Tiffany.
