GO EARLY!

It get sooo crowded we had to go twice - the first time we couldn't get in - today it took almost 2.5 hours!!! So DON'T wait until the week of your wedding!!!

(i went to queens county FYI)

I've been told not to go around lunchtime, but early in the morning if possible. We went to the Manhattan clerk at about 3:30 or so and there were only 2 people in front of us.

we went at like 2pm and it wasnt bad at all (manhattan)

Do you have to go to a NYC office if you are getting married in NYC? Or can you go to any town hall? My FH lives in Islip and it would be so much easier for us to go to Islip town hall. Our ceremony is in Queens.

Bring a pen, they don't provide.

Go early in the morning when it's not a long wait line.

Money order only! No personal checks, no credit cards, no debit cards accepted.

Bring 2 forms of ID's each--(2 from the bride and 2 from the groom).

You can go to any clerk in New York State.
