What gifts are you getting your parents?

My wedding is less than 3 weeks away and I still have no idea what I'm getting them!

we gave them empty parent albums with the promise of 20 pictures to put in it once we got our proofs....we had the albums made specially by a friend of the family

Mikes parents where going to Florida to stay in their condo. So we bought them 2 nights in hilton marco island partial ocean view. And we bought my parents a digital camera. They were going on a cruise already.

I have no idea yet-- but I thought it would be nice to get a gift cert to a really nice restaurant- you know- now it's time for YOU to relax and enjoy yourself..

In the same idea-- a weekend away- at a B&B or something. Depends how much you want to spend, and what your parents are into..

If you want a weekend away- I have a couple of recco's for you- within two and half hours of the city..

I got my mom the same piece of jewlery that I got my BM.
For my dad I printed out the words to the song we were going to dance to, and had it framed with the engraving 'Daddy's little girl'

Please don't think as this as dumb, but the purpose of the parent's gift is..??? Because they are my parents? Because they contributed $ to the wedding?? Not sure of this one. Help me out here. My parents are divorced, my mother has contributed nothing to my wedding and my father has given me $ for the wedding....I love my fathers and my mother and I have a tense relationship...My mother thinks that driving 45 min to my reception is out of the way, but my father is driving from Florida for the wedding...um...so what is the exact reason for a parents gift?

We got them a parent album and a video but we also got them this

Then I wrote a poem for each of them and created this

Then I brought my dad this and put a pic of us from when I was little.

I think it is a thank you for their support, love and money.. If you feel like your mom did not give that to you-- you prob don;t need to get her a gift/

I'm going to have them pick out their parent's album and purchase them myself.

I am getting my dad a picture frame and the parent album.

My mom I am getting the same as well as a small piece of jewelery since she is contributing a lot of her time and paying for my dress.
