Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

HEATHER!!!!!!!! Noooooooo!!!!!!!

You just ordered it a week ago!
You do this with everything! (so do I)

That's the dress for you! Believe me girl! It is the only one you talked about that you loved!

Have you second guessed Anthony yet? Or is that a whole other thread!!

For the record....It is BEAUTIFUL and definitely fancy enough!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

No, it's really nice. And remember, you will be the fanciest one at YOUR wedding that day no matter how 'fancy' your dress is.

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Many people have second guessed their dress choice and usually it's a passing thing. If you are completely sure you made a mistake, which I don't think you did, it's possible that your dress hasn't even been ordered yet and you could still change it. Think long and hard before you make a decision you may later regret.

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Your dress is beautiful. I like how it fits you. Can't you dress it up with jewerly? You can do your hair in a way that makes it fancier ( is that even a word?)

If you're truly unhappy about it then I would switch because you're the one who has to be happy.

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Once you add jewelry, hair, makeup, veil, and tiara, you WILL look like a princess in that dress. It's beautiful!!

It's also completely normal (speaking from experience ) to second guess your dress...

Heather - this is 'the one', you know it and your mom and sis know it too. Remember???
Just think of you with your dress and a really poofy slip, with your bun wrap, and veil and a hunky tuxedo'd man holding your hand. Come on! Its perfect!

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

I was just doing that this morning...second guessing my gown. When I see it in my pics, I HATE it...but as soon as it's on me in the salon, I LOVE IT alll over again!
Pics taken with a digital or regular 35 mm camera NEVER do justice!

Go try it on again...you'll LOVE IT

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Well i bought my first dress when Ithought we were going to plan an outdoor summer wedding- its so elegant but sexy (like a slip dress)

now that we are getting married in church- i cant wear it. I want to go buy another gown this time more princess like.

But everyone (mom dad, bridal people...etc) is making me second guess my choice to wear one dress for the ceremony and another for the reception- they think if i found my dream dress i shoudl just wear that

I love my first dress but i know in my heart i wouldnt feel comfortable wearing it in a house of god

I think your dress is beautiful. If you want to look more princess-y maybe try a fuller slip. With your hair, makeup, tiara and veil you will look like a princess!

I second guess my dress sometimes- especialy right after I bought it. Then I try it on and I know its the one. Go with your gut- remember how you felt when you tried it on.

Of course it is fancy enough! It looks beautiful on you! You are going to be the only one there with a white gown - believe me it will be more than fancy enough for your day!!!!

I honestly think this is your dress - you will look stunning in it!

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Your dress is beautiful! don't worry, its gourgeous and fancy.

I second guess myself all the time! I bought mine in Israel, so its very different from the dresses here, so I am constantly wondering - Is it too different???

Trust me, you are not alone!!!! Since we purchase dresses so early, there is always the second guessing!

Re: Has anyone second-guessed themselves AFTER they purchased the dress?

Oooh I absolutely love your dress! It was my second 'dream' choice after my own Maggie gown , but I could never find a store that had it to try your gown on ... anyhow , honestly I think it is SUCH a gorgeous gown and I know will look amazing on you!

We brides love to tortue ourselves .. sometimes when you see a pic (I swear the mdoels don't do the gowns justice sometimes), or when we see ourself in the sample, all wrinkled with the incorrect undergarments, etc.., it doesn't do it justice .. once you have your hair/makeup veil and everything else on, TRUST me you will be THE MOST BEAUTIFUL bride and truly a princess

I second guessed my dress constantly- when I first got it from Netbride and tride it on I hated myself in it (really, I was crying the first day I tried my gown on - sick huh?) but then I kept trying it on , put my tiara and veil on, and would remind myself that it was the first dress I fell in love with and that there really wasn't anything else that I even considered initially...

It is your dress! you 'own' it, girl! And anytime you doubt your feelings, just come on here and we'll remind you that you aren't going crazy!
