Within a 'theme'....updated w/bm dress

How are you making sure everything is with in the same general idea - that everything matches? I really dont have a theme just an idea of what kind of atmoshere I want to create.

How are all of you getting a big picture of how visually things tie into together?
BTW -If your not into that I am not saying you should be it is just what I am into doing.

My theme is pretty easy..I am doing all cream and greens for the reception..

For the church and bridesmaids..I am doing a fall theme.. their dresses are chocolate brown and the flowers are rusty oranges, reds, and creams..

I would pick the dress color and work from that..or if you really love a certain color flower..match everything base on that.

This is what I have so far -

Picked Black BM dresses and my flowers are pink and green and white - all shades of pink and jade green - diamond white not ivory or cream.

I am more or less conflicted on weather the dress I want will look appr with BM dresses - the BM dress sleeves will be chopped down to 3/4 length and in black - I told them they could get strapless or betaeu top if they want.


Does this look right together ?

I think it should work..as long as the colors match and since you are doing black for BM and white for yourself, you should be ok..

My dress is pretty traditional and the BM dresses are more modern..and I was worried about them not going at first, but I think you should go with what you like...that's what I did.

Ahhh - I am peeing in my pants right now because the 1st dress I posted by accident and it is a joke pic I send to my BM when I feel like messing with them and now I cant get my real one to post !!!

I'm doing a green and white/ivory 'theme' if you can call it that.
I guess I'm just concentrating on everything matching.
The BM's will be in a sage, with ivory & green and flowers. My BK will be ivory with green also. C-pieces ivory, green and a few red/Burgundy berries for color. Invitations, donation cards and menu's ivory & green. Place cards will be topieries (green).

My dress - well at least this one which I am leaning heavily towards is by Casblanca - I tried it on and loved it !

I don't really have a 'theme' i'm just trying to stick w/ what feels like 'me' -
Pretty Classic. - Black BM dresses, - and Red and Pink flowers to give everything some color.......
I don't have a pic of my actual BM bouquets.......or my centerpieces. -
