Re: oh no...........shoe drama
Why don't you just get comfy wedding flip flops or dance shoes for back up. The only problem with dance shoes is that some of the nicer ones don't come in white . . .

If you work in the city, there's a Danskin on Madison and 36th. I'd get something as a backup just in case... better your dress dragging on the floor than you being in agony the whole night.

OMG Nov Bride - that is too too funny!i want shea to be in it but my mom is like 'NO!'
anyway bri, thanks so much for the numbers...i have been calling places all morning. there are actually a few websites that can overnight and they have a wedding shoe section.
i hope i find something!!
my stuart weitzmans are 4 inches...do you think i can have a shoemaker shorten them to make them 3? that is the highest these ballroom shoes come in

Re: oh no...........shoe drama
OK!i tried every place on LI and it was a no go as far as white ballroom dance shoes. this website had a whole wedding section!!! a ton of white shoes.
now, they are an inch shorter than my stuart weitzmans. what do i do? my friend suggested bringing the dance heels to a shoemaker and having him add on an inch...
what do u think?
i got these:

Re: oh no...........shoe drama - EDITED AT BOTTOM
Yes, I've heard shoemakers can do that.I also heard that shoemakers can take a shoe and take off an inch. Would you consider doing that since the problem/discomfort with your original shoes might be the height?
