Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

All this talk about clothing got me thinking about women's bodies and men.

I am so confussed with all this body image crap around me. One minute i love my body, next minute i hate it. Most of the girls I know have these issues and some of them I think shouldnt but they do. So that makes me beleive that there are so many variations as to what is sexy in addition to the stick thin image that designers promote. (no offense to modes/model figures.

What do you ladies and men view as a sexy body?

Re: Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

It is all about self confidence and how a person carries themselves. A friend of mine is a size 11 and seriously she has a beautiful body

Re: Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

as far as what I like to look at in men: the hard bodies..but that's a fantasy....my husband started out a 6 ' 3' 150 lb beanpole and now he's up to 175...he carries it all in his belly (it looks like a mini beer belly..but it's not, he hardly drinks) and I LOVE looking at him.

I used to love the tall, beefy teddy bear type, bald head....and I've dated tall skinny ones, and short built ones....

As far as I go....I HATE the way I look...I feel like a stuffed sausage and would love to look like 90% of the female population and walk around with my navel hanging out

Re: Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

DH is so not the type of guy I was used to dating. I have a thing for men in uniform..fit men in uniform lol. I like clean shaven guys with 6 packs but not overly muscled like body builders. Then along came Dh who in all honesty I was NOT attracted to physically but he grew on me..but he gets jealous when 'my type' pays the slightest bit of attention..poor dear.

As for me, I go through my phases. I dont want to be super skinny I have already figured that out. I like my hips and the way my butt looks in jeans..but I hate my tummy. Its not flat enough. Whats crazy about how I feel is that guys hot on me evryday but yet I am so insecure since I dont fit the 'mold'.

looks fade, mental capacity takes a bit longer...

i find myself attracted to those with brains and witty humor. i have been attracted to some very interesting characters as far as looks go, i think there's something to say about pure chemistry...

i also think a lot has to do with the way one puts himself/herself together. a nice, flattering outfit plus self confidence goes a looooong way. i have frumpy clothes and nicer outfits. if i had the ca$h, all my outfits would be nice as they were when i was in my 20's. then again when i was 20 i could get away with a burlap sack

Re: Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

If youre asking for a BODY part?

His eyes and smile

NON-BODY part?
His laughter (i do odd stuff to make Jim giggle cause its such a wonderful sound to me)

His sense of self and opinoins. Im a strong willed pushy opinionated gal. I need a man who can agree or disagree without it getting nasty and add or comment intelligently in a discussion. He had to be very UN-pc without being ashamed. Jim is all that at home. Which for me is fine. Makes me feel comfortable.

Re: Body issues. Men vs Women ideal.

OMG how did you explain that..laughter at a funeral

Yeah I defintely think that humor is a plus. I guess thats how I could explain dating this comedian. When I see him on TV I ask myself.. *** was I thinking. he's another exceptin to my 'type' but in a bad way.
