I'm Back!!! Finally found a seamstress... And my first Fitting is tomorrow!!!
I called a whole bunch of places today with no luck. Then I called Dorothy Walsh in Northport. That is where my mom got her MOB dress and is having it altered. Yesterday I had a meeting with a vendor here at work and somehow got on the topic of Weddings and alterations and she recommended the place to me also! SO I called today and she said the seamstress works from her home now and she gave me the number. I called her and she was so nice! And the best part is she lives in my town
I asked her how much she charges and she said she would have to see the dress to tell me, but gave me a HIGH estimate and I almost fell off my chair!!! It was so cheap! We'll see how it goes tomorrow

congrats Julz!!My inlaws live in East Northport and I went to Dorothy Walsh with my MIL when she was looking for her gown. She nearly bought hers there , they have lovely stuff. And they were super nice
I'm sure they'll do an excellent job on your gown. Keep us posted!

I think she only does brides from her house. There are other seamstresses at the Dorothy Walsh store that do bridesmaids and MOB gowns.

She is going to be pinning me and stuff like that. When I go back the next time after she sews it then I will take the pics

I'm back!!!I am really happy I went to her
Much friendlier than the Wedding Center and she knows her stuff. She said it would be ready next week and thats when I'll tkae the pics.If anyone needs her info FM me. She told me she loves doing brides the best!
