My very long Aruba honeymoon review with PICS!!!
Here is my VERY long review of my honeymoon to ArubaAmerican Airlines- D- We were and hour late getting off going there. We had a connection in Miami that we had to RUN our asses off for and coming home (Wednesday) we sat on the ground for 3 hours b/c of all the storms you had here there were major’s backup delays!! Then to top it off we get in to NY and out of the plane finally and the luggage is at the wrong baggage claim.
Luckily that was the only bad part about our trip. Everything else was AMAZING!!! Although I have to say (not to sound negative here, my review will get better I promise) the food in Aruba was good but I wasn’t blown away by anything. I think its b/c I am from NY and we just have such great restaurants we get spoiled. But everything was good. Not a bad meal.
Hyatt- A++++ The room was standard but it did have an unbelievable view. The grounds are great. The swim up bar and all there restaurants were good.
Tattoo Cruise- B+ It was $50 PP for 4 hours of sailing, a meal, and a DJ. We were so tired from the sun all day we just stayed on the third deck and relaxed
ATV (All terrain vehicles) tour- A++++++++++++++ this was a blast. You get so dirty and at times it’s a rough ride but soo worth it!!! I was on the back of my hubbys bike and it was AWESOME. We took the 4 hour one which went o the natural bridge, natural pool, and ostrich farm (they give you ostrich burgers) and some ruins. Great pictures to take and just an overall great day!!!!
Atlantis Submarine tour-A+++++++++++ Also very $$ but worth it. You go 150 feet underwater and see two shipwrecks and lots of fish. Great time!!!!
Restaurants: All are pricy so I wont even bother giving a $$$. Just plan to spend a lot if you don’t do an all inclusive.
El Gaucho- Our favorite- Great Steak.
Ruinas Del mar-(Hyatt) my least favorite) but still good. I just ordered a very plain chicken dish so I really can’t judge too much. But very very romantic
Trattoria (California Lighthouse) Very nice, good views (except by the time we ate it was dark) Very good Italian food
Chalet Swiss- This was highly recommended to us by someone who works in the restaurant business and I was not impressed. I had actually heard that we should’ve tried Madame Jeanette .I had steak and it was just ok.
Café Pocola_ Hyatt- Very good. Ate there our first night and was so hungry anything would’ve tasted good!!! (Seriously it was good)
Flying Fishbone-Food was good but the atmosphere was UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sunset was the nicest I ever saw.
Valentino’s-Very nice Italian place in a timeshare (I think it was timeshare) community.
Overall it was an AWESOME trip. Definitely want to go back.
The Hyatt
Taken at Ruinas Del Mar( Hyatt) first night
Me at a bar in town, drinking my favorite drink of vacation-Pina Coladas!!
Saw a ton of Iguanas at our hotel
Sunsets from Flying Fishbone
The Flying Fishbone knew we were on our honeymoon and at the end of the night gave us this.

Re: My very long Aruba honeymoon review
Congrats!!!I went there, and reading this brought back memories! I LOVED El Gaucho!!!! I stayed at the Marriott though- it's all gorgeous!!!!!!
Edited to add, we didn't go to the flying fishbone, but our hotel had Simply Fish, which is the same concept, tables on the sand. My screen saver is the sunset from that night- I escape to here all the time! priceless! (I'd post it if I knew where DH put it in the files)
