RSVPs... you know what's weird?

You know what's weird about RSVPs? As much as we are waiting and hoping and counting on getting at least a 20% decline rate.... when those 'regrets' come in, they are a little dissappointing!

It's like, so cold. That little 'x' on the 'Regrets' line. No explanation, nothing. Just 'no, we aren't coming to your wedding'.

for the most part we got an explanation on the RSVP's and/or a phone call. But there is one couple I am a little annoyed with - no explanation, no phone call, no 'thanks for inviting us, sorry we can't come' via email. I am torn between sending them a little snotty sarcastic email or just dumping them as friends - maturity at it's peak...

Aww, that's not cool :( I know the one friend who's wedding I had to miss this summer I wrote this long letter of explanation about how sorry I was I couldn't make it. I still felt bad about it though (i had a family reunion to go to that had be payed for prior to knowing their wedding date).

Hopefully you'll get more responses with at least an explanation as to why they're not coming (or - no more people declining at all)

Re: RSVPs... you know what's weird?

What sucks for me is that I haven't received many no's! Only 2 people (not RSVPs) have declined, out of 140! Still waiting on 26 RSVPs, and I know just 3 RSVPs will be declining.

*smack* I'm so mean.... hoping for NOs, to cut back on the too many we invited! lol

Re: RSVPs... you know what's weird?

When I get invited to weddings, I always write something because I kept all of my rsvps and look at them from time to time and reminisce. Even if I can't go, I simply state 'sorry we can't attend' and wishing you a lifetime of love! At least it's upbeat, but I agree. If people only knew that it seems like a rejection!
