please send happy thoughts to my sil, and our two wonderufl friends and their daughter..
my sil (dh's sister) lives in naples...we have not heard from her b/c of the storm since yesterday morning...she was scared then
our two close friends who are married and have a two yr old (both were in our bp and us in their's) live in cape coral...we have not heard from them either.....he is a cop down there and she is a nurse but they were planning on staying with his parents if they did not get called in to work (his parents live in pt charlotte) - both areas were hard hit from the storm.....
we have been watching the news and weather all day and those areas were the hardest hit...we are so worried and hope all is ok....obviously, there is no phone service but we ar eont he edge of our seats and have knots in our stomachs....
we even have looked online to see how $$ it is to rents a car and fly down there to help if we need to.....
to everyone else who has relatives and friends down there as well.....hope they are ok

good news...we spoke to dh's sister...she is ok, a little shaken but ok., she and her husband have minor damage to their home [esp. compared to soem of their neighbors according to her] and no power but are glad to be ok....now we just have to worry about our friends and their daughter.....no word yet on them... and even the tv crew in that area has not been heard from....dha dn i listened in horror as the anchor said 'if the crew from pt charlotte or cape coral is listening, please call us!'......

I'm glad to hear they are okay. I was worried for my Mom, my uncle, my BM, my two RBs, my FG and their families -- all in Tampa!!
They evacuated Tampa (as they were told) and went to a friend's house in Orlando -- right into the path of the storm!! Thankfully they are all okay though and the house they stayed in only suffered minor damage.

THEY ARE OK! THEY ARE OK!!! YEYEYEYEYEYEY!! WE ARE SO RELIVED!!!! HOPE EVERYONE ELSE'S FAMILY IS OK...OUR FIRNEDS PARENTS HAVE NO ROOF, OUR FRINEDS HAVE ONE BUT JUST SHINGLES!!

my in laws are in deerfield beach but there okay thankfully. im glad everyone is well

Mikes great aunt and uncle (both older like almost 80's) live in Punta Gorda. It is all over the news as being hit the hardest. We are so worried. They are saying a lot of the older people didn't want to leave.

my good news yesterdya was overshadowed by them not reailzing the tru damage - both their parents houses in fla are unlivable and their brand new house, which origianlly only had a problem with the shingles - or so they thought-just got too much water in it and is almost entirely ruined..... i will probably be flying down later this week to help out now, poor dh who is also heartbroken, has to work
