its great to hear from all of you girls! the pictures were awesome, thanks so much!! I wonder if we could request the bars be put in different locations? Anna Cameron is our BM. we havent had any problems as of yet With the cakes, do they just give you samples that you can pick from, or can you bring in a picture of what you want?? are all of you girls in the dome room?? We met w/ gina once because it seemed like that was the 'next step" after booking our date. It is nice that she is there, but she did make it seem like the sun rose and set on these vendors (thank god I found you guys to open my eyes lol) we went to meet w/ two of their vendors and one we didnt like AT ALL and the other was ok, but way expensive. she also made it seem like we had to use her for invites, it was like ok so when youre ready come to me and ill do everything lol. what made u guys book the hall?? for us it was totally the cocktail hour room, and then the dome room. we liked the 7 options at dinner too!!! do u know if they provide menus?? ok that is it for now! look forward to hearing from you all!
edited to add: jozie.... are u getting the chair covers?? if so could u give me info on it?? and the cigar roller, i have been sooo interested in getting one, so if you could share whatever u know on those two things!!! thanks!!!

julestrd.... yup its the one upstairs, the one in the pictures posted.... its not the one as you first walk upstairs straight ahead, its the one to the left, with the high ceiling!

No it's the first one up the top of the stairs. The one that is almost connected to the cocktail hour.

is it this room??? That room is so pretty, but unfortunately we had too many people for it!! I wish we didnt What kind of package did u guys get? what day of the week are u getting married? what were your minimums?

our minimum is 200, our list is 300 we made two lists, even though i soo didnt want to, we are going to send out about 260 invites, pray for the 20% and then hopefully send out the others. we dont want any more than 240 in the dome room, after that they would have to switch to the square tables, and i think the round look prettier in that room. i also think it would be tight w/ more than that. we are getting married on a friday night, we got the deluxe menu package, but i am not sure if that is "standard" or not lol. in leiu of a saturday night, we went w/ friday and added the extra hour + viennese hr. i really wanted a saturday night, but we got so many extras for the same price on friday!

We are getting married on a Saturday night and we talked our minimum down to 175.

I actually had my senior prom in that room with the pretty ceiling.

Hi Guys,
Sorry it took so long to write back, but I just logged on. I am at work and I'm so busy today. But, anyhow, I actually got the chair covers thrown into our deal, so I am not sure how much they are. I am not a fan of their chairs, so I insisted on getting those. But, if you talk to Gina, she can def. give you a cost because they are coming from JT. The covers are just a simple pin stripe that match the table cloths. As for the Cigar Roller, we are going through the Little Cigar Company...JT refered them to us and they came out to approx. $1000. I also checked another company in NJ, where my FI lives and the cost came out to about the same. I think my FI is insane for booking them (not worth it to me), but he really wanted it.

I am also getting married in the Penthouse room. The room next to the Dome Room on the top floor. I invited approx 275 and was a little nervous that it would get too tight in there...so I am also hoping for the 20% no shows.

The only negatives that I am experiencing is when you pull up a search on JT on LIW's..people have mixed reviews...what do you guys think? So far Mike has been great..he's a little sales pitchy, but we'll see. I actually expressed my concerns to him on some of the negatives that I read on this site, and he assured me that everything will be fine..so I guess the only way I will know is until after the wedding.

I will keep you girls posted on the whole cake thing. Mike is back tomorrow, so I am going to set up an appointment with him to pick one out. I will confirm with him which bakery they use because I have no idea.

Wish one of you guys was getting married the same day as me...oh well!!

EDITED: God this is sooo long..sorry guys..but I just wanted to add that you can def bring a picture in of your cake..I remember when I first met with them though they said that they can only go so far with detail..so just keep that in mind...they may charge you extra or say they can't do it..what ever.. I am bringing pics of what ever I find and going to see what they have...it doesn't hurt.

This is my first time posting! I only found LIW a few months ago (believe me, I was kicking myself once I did....) and have not yet posted, but I could not resist when I saw the Jericho Terrace thread.

I am getting married in the skylight room. Our reception is in the penthouse.

My BM is Mike Tinelli - I love him! He is so patient with us. We can never decide on anything.

We went last night to confirm the room (we had a different room originally for the reception, but then our guest list got out of control so he let us upgrade) and chose our cake. He told us they just got new designs for the cake. They look really nice. We chose a square one. There is also the option to upgrade to four other patterns they have for an extra $500.

I am so excited!! I cannot wait for it to be here. I am also happy I have finally posted something

The cakes looked really nice actually. They have a good selection. We did not feel as though the upgrade was necessary and our BM actually discouraged it, saying the regular cakes were just as nice - the more expensive ones just have more labor time involved. We chose a regular cake and are very happy with it. You can get either a tier cake or stacked with any style you choose. As I said, I was happy with the selection

We have our final appointment Sept 9th so I will let you know how that goes.

What is the semi finalaptment? The only other time I met with them besides the time I booked was for the food tasting and I called and arranged that appointment..

oh I'm sorry. I got my letter in the mail this week to go and pick our menu, as in the chafing dishes and cake filling. It is supposed to be where you pick up your table layouts and such.

You should call and ask to go in and do this. I don't know why they wouldn't send you a letter. Someone is slacking

Weird..I never got the letter, but when I went to the food tasting, we picked all of our choices for the CT hour and dinner, etc..in addition to, getting the floor plan, etc..so maybe I arranged the date b4 they even had a chance to send the letter out and because I did maybe Mike never sent it to me...(since it was already done). Thanks for explaining though..I got nervous for a sec.

I am calling him today about the cake. Maybe I will borrow my friends dig. camera, so that I can post them for you guys...

I love that we started this..keep writing so other JT girls see it..IT'S SO HELPFUL!!

jozieb0925-Yes, we only picked our dishes, cake and got the layout of the room at the semi-final appointment. At the final appointment, we were told to bring ALL extras (including guest book, favors, bubbles, unity candle, etc.) and they keep them there. We also have to pay the remainder of our bill!! Not looking forward to that part.....

It sounds as though you may have set up the appointment before they had the chance to send out the letter. We received our letter about 6 weeks before our wedding date, and it clearly stated that we should set it up at least 8 weeks prior, so they are obviously behind...

My friend at work is actually going to a wedding this weekend at JT and she is going to take pictures for me and let me know the good/bad parts. I will keep you updated!

We were just moved to the Penthouse room because our guest list is much larger than we anticipated - we are expecting approx 150 which I know is a small number for the size of that room - they do not have an in between room though! I'm not complaining...it is absolutely beautiful!
