Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
We are going back and forth between the two. Does anyone have and advice on the better honeymoon. Does anyone know how much visiting Santorini and Mykanos would cost? Thanks!

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
Starwood Hotels have some awesome resorts all over Greece and Hawaii actually. go to www.starwood.com. They also have a honeymoon registry. Not sure which one would be more affordable, but my guess would be Greece.

We went back and forth too and ultimately chose the Mediterranean. We're taking a 12 night cruise that stops at Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome, Naples, Mykonos, Athens, Santorini, Dubrovnik and Venice. FM if you want details.

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
I would say Greece too. I would have gone there if we were getting married in the summer.

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon, and I went to Greece (Athens and Mykonos) before I even met DH. I would say definitely go to Greece. You can FM any specific questions you have about either, but I thought Greece was a better vacation. In Hawaii, there were so many things we wanted to see that we didn't relax much, which is what we really needed to do after all the wedding stress. My vote is for Greece!

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
I would love to go to Greece. I do think that Hawaii might be more affordable. I have a friend in Mykonos right now and she says that it is surprisingly expensive. I think that with the Olympics being in Greece this year the cost of vacationing there went up.

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
No question in my mind: Hawaii... we just got back a few days ago from the 4 Seasons in Maui, and we did NOT leave the hotel except to walk to 2 others right next door, and one day trip to Hana. It was so relaxing, intimate, they catered to your every need...I am SO depressed to be back. Everything was unbelievable. A bit pricy (definitely do club level--delicious and wonderful food & drinks all day long included!!!) but worth every penny.

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
It's not the cost of the Olympics that makes Greece expensive. It's the euro and the fact that it is stronger than the dollar.

Re: Honeymoon Greece or Hawaii
I am deciding between the same two places! Right now I am leaning toward Hawaii just because it's so much further away and who knows when I will get to go back. I've never heard a bad thing about Greece though either. It's a tough choice.
