Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

We finally are going for Engagement pics next week My FI wants to wear khakis and a collared shirt. Should I wear jeans and a nice shirt or a semi-dressy skirt and top?

Obviously I cannot make any decisions on my own

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

I would wear black pants and a flattering shirt. No jeans! But black pants are slenderizing in pictures, and are equally dressy as khakis.

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

Thanks So black pants and a colored shirt (not black or white) would look ok with his outfit?

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

We both wore khakis (mine were capris) and a black, short-sleeved button down shirt. You can check my profile to see.

IMO...a pretty summer dress or skirt and cami is better
than black pants..

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

I can't make decisions either...We took two seperate sets of e-pix...The first ones we wore matching black slacks, plum colored button downs and boots (in the studio)...The second set we wore jeans and white button downs (on the beach)
I was probably no help to you

I agree, especially since it's still warm out. Not a big fan of those LIBP.

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

while engagement pictures are special and the desire is to get dressed up, i think jeans rock. If you wer them alot, are your most comfy in them, and look great in a certain pair, more power to you! i hate how my butt looks in anything but jeans. i feel my sexiest in a good pair. (I'm not talking about wearing your everyday old navy/gap/levi's to the shoot, but if you spent the money on those Sevens or Diesel-show them off!)

Your professional wedding pics will be the dressiest pics of you two, and I am sure you take pics when the two of you get semi-dressy to go out.

How often do you have a kick-*** pic of you in jeans and a cute top?

I think the contract of a great looking pic in black and white, with your hair and makeup done up and in a casual jean outfit is awesome.

I just talked myself into wearing jeans for my casual shoot. thanks.

You just talked me into it too That's what FH and I wear most of the time (him, all of the time). I want the pictures to be US above all else.

Sorry! Long Island Black Pants. You know, the really tight stretchy pants that so many LI girls wear. No offense to anyone on here who wears them, just not my style.

Go with Jeans definitely, especially if that's what you are comfortable with.

Ahh I didn't grow up on Long Island. My black pants aren't that tight though--not the spandex-y ones, just ones I wear to work.

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

I think jeans are fine. Jeans are becoming the new 'black pant' anyway, so long as you team then with a nice shirt and a pair of heels. FH and I aren't having e-photos, but if we did, I'm sure we would have been in jeans.

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

We did ours in the fall in Central Park and wore jeans. It went perfectly with the surroundings. We wore nice jeans, I wore a fitted shirt and black boots. He wore a nice knit top and brown shoes. It went great.

Re: Jeans or Dressy for Engagement Pics?

I think you should wear what you feel comfortable in. We both wore khakis and sweaters, which is typical for us. The pictures look so natural and very typically us, which was really important to me.
