Royal Hideaway Resort in Mexico??

We are almost positive that this is where we want to honeymoon - it looks just amazing. The big decision now is what type of suite to get. They offer 4 styles: Luxury (Standard), Royal View (Ocean View), Hideaway Suite
(Junior Suite) and Royal Hideaway Suite
(Presidential Suite). Of course we want to stay in the Royal Hideaway suite, b/c it's the best, but realistically that would blow our budget if we stay the length of time we want. Of those who have been here, what would your recommend? Going all out and spending the money on the top level and staying a shorter time or choosing a different level and staying longer?? Are the other suites very nice as well?? As much as I want to have the dream honeymoon and have everything be the absolute best, we still need to pay the bills when we get home and back to reality! What do you think? Of course, any other suggestions/comments about this resort would be appreciated as well.

Thanks!

I have been there and it was incredible! I actually went with my mom!! I am pretty sure we had just a regular room and it was really nice. Nicer than average.

I would choose a lower level and stay longer. They will also give you a free day pass to their resort on Cozumel. Not worth it at all. The resorts do not compare!! It was night and day. ALL of the restaurants were fantastic and the service was great!

Re: Royal Hideaway Resort in Mexico??

Go with a regular room and stay longer! You're not going to want to leave! We stayed in a luxury room. It was very nice and all that we needed. The larger suites are probably better if you are going with a family and need the extra room, but if it's just the 2 of you, you don't really need it, IMO. We didn't spend that much time in our room anyway so it wouldn't have been worth it. We had a king size bed, table and chairs, private patio area, bathroom with dressing area, jacuzzi tub, and shower, there's a firdge in the room that your concierge will keep stocked with your favorite beverages-you just tell her what you want and it will always be full. The food at the restaurants was excellent. The service everywhere is amazing. FM if you have any other questions. We're dying to go back!

Re: Royal Hideaway Resort in Mexico??

Thanks for the advice! We are planning to book this week and will definitely stick with the basic room, so we can go for as long as possible. I can't wait to go!
